An excellent team performance but Jarvis needs to replace Grant.... How many decent chances has Grant missed for #Notts? Unprofessional

Another dominating win for Notts this afternoon. Momentum is starting to build as the squad continues to improve

The three goals that Notts scored could easily have been double that with the opportunities that Notts created for themselves in that first half.

I think that Martin is very close to knowing what his starting eleven is, but there will be lots of competition for places if the squad keeps improving.

Notts are just one point off the playoffs & if they can go on a run of form for the next eleven games or so they could be in a great position to push on during the second half of the season, here's hoping.

It’s great to see Jatta score I think if we can keep him fit he’ll be a big player for us this season.

Big credit to Martin Paterson for turning our poor home form around so quickly, we start matches with a lot more intent and actually make opposition defences defend. It’s been refreshing recently to see us go in at half-time with a lead.

I thought it was a solid and dominate first half-performance, our box midfield with Palmer and Robbo at the base and Iorpenda and Hall in front gave us a lot of control. Oldham didn’t really press us either, so that massively helped us. And again, I thought our off-the ball play was good, we won a lot more tackles and 50/50 balls in the middle of the pitch too.

Their goal was the only blemish, it certainly gave them a boost but the most important thing was the reaction. We stayed solid and then got our composure back and pretty much dominated the last period of the match and spurned some good chances to make the win a lot more emphatic. I Still think we need to do some work on set-pieces cos I feel like that’s where teams can still hurt us.

Very good win overall, could’ve/should’ve scored more which is impressive when you think Oldham before that hadn’t lost away and had only conceded the one goal.

It was a good game, though there were spells where the game just sat and it became a little boring. This is a credit to both teams playing the waiting game and just getting familiar with each other. Oldham surprised me that they were very focused on keeping the ball on the ground, whereas it was Notts especially in the final 20 minutes of the game, keeping the ball in the air.

Oldham looked like they wouldn't score until their keeper booted the ball and found their player clean through. This will sound harsh, but the moment the ball flew through the players, I knew Roos would make the wrong decision and end up being lobbed.

I would say they looked lacking in confidence, but I think much of it goes down to the way Notts played. Oldham aren't a bad team, but they aren't that threatening. The goal gave them a surge, and if we weren't 3-1 up at this stage, I would have felt like "here we go again," but credit to Martin Paterson; his changes introduced fresh legs, even though at the time I was pondering why we made certain changes.

Isn't there a noticeable difference in making such changes now compared to the start of the season?

I think the changes at the beginning of the season would have been negative, considering how lively Oldham became after scoring and how wobbly we started to look. We had spells where we couldn't clear the ball very well, and this all stemmed from us almost scoring a fourth goal.
