Good morning the sun is out here and it looks like a pleasant day.

I’m going to nip to B&Q to see if they’ve got any bark to put on the garden, the last week or so I’ve been slowly weeding one area and I’ve put some membrane down that we had in the shed so all I need now is the bark on top. If it’s dry enough I’ll mow the lawn too.

I notice @Robbie has got a nice “subscriber” sash on his posts, oy @Chris wheres mine? I’m jealous 😝

Not all have been given out yet as they are still being tested. Some changes and fixes are still needed for further improvements.

Nice one @Fan of Big Tone love the new sash. Did you get the garden done, it's been a lovely day for being out and about today.

Anyway a little conundrum for you to ponder over. When is a sheep not a sheep? 🤔

Yes it’s been fabulous hasn’t it, I’ve got some of the garden done, B&Q only had one bag of bark so I’ll have to go back when more comes in stock.

Hmm, I’ll have to ponder that one, perhaps @super_ram knows?

All I can come up with is when it's a lamb.

busier week than ever at work, a lot of overturns and organising. i dont have any more training now until a few months time, when i have to re do certain ones but i did enjoy doing the further management courses. outside of work, i have not got up to much but i have been thinking about joining a gym. there is one about 15 minutes from me near tesco but i am not so sure. i dont feel like cycling in the rain or cold, but i like to keep active.

with swindon being postponed now, i want to find something else to do on saturday because i want to avoid the boredom and lack of no notts. with the internationals its not like i go watch derby or another local championship or league one team.

Good morning, it’s a bit dull compared to yesterday which was positively warm and sunny.

We had a disturbed night, Mrs. T woke me up having a bad dream, something about being trapped in the bathroom with lots of snarling dogs. (Analyse that). Later in the night the smoke alarm started blipping because the battery was low, why do they always do that in the middle of the night.

A quiet day today I think, maybe a nap to catch up this afternoon. 😴

Good morning it’s a dull cloudy day here, today I’ve got a few jobs to do, I’ve got some more bark to put on the garden and I’ve got to organise some holiday Euros because a week tomorrow we are off on a cruise to the canaries. Whoo hoo!

In other news does anyone else have problems with birds hitting the house windows? We’ve had two in two days but the blinds were drawn both times, they appear to be pigeons by the mark they leave behind. There’s a couple of pigeons out there with a huge headache. biggrin

The bad weather and wind seem to have been the final blow to my back garden fence, so I am having it replaced soon. I have someone from a fencing company coming out around three this afternoon. I have already had two quotes which I rejected straight away. I think some of these people either do not want the job and price it high to put you off, or they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Over three thousand pounds is far too much money for such a simple job.

I am not in a rush to have it fixed, but if I keep getting high quotes I will do it myself. There is no heavy digging needed, and the old fence is easy to remove. Concrete posts, concrete and fence panels would not cost that much, so the labour charges must be easy money for them.

It is getting colder each day now. It feels good to stay inside when I can, where it is warm and comfortable. I do not blame anyone who chooses to sit in their cosy chair and enjoy the comfort of a heated home.

Today has felt much slower to me. With no football to look forward to this weekend, I will need to find something else to keep myself busy.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

A considerable amount of work has gone into PON this week, with a lot of fixes and improvements.

I feel quite satisfied with it, and I know things could always be better, but it's nice when you start to tick off problems. I know I need to get back into writing and other things that make the site work. I do think a lot of members have been contributing towards some excellent discussions, and that is encouraging to see.

There are two features almost completed, one being another type of feed and the other being a quicker way to change between dark/light mode.

I had my back fence put in for £700; when my front needed replacing, my wife was quoted £3-4k. @magpiejue's husband and friend did it for a much fairer price, and they did both the front sides too. Even part of my land at the back of my garage was reclaimed from a neighbour who had wonkily put in their wooden fence and later straightened it, but left behind heaps of concrete.

A field where dreams become reality.

No Notts fixture tomorrow. Looks like I will have to follow some of the local non league teams & see how they are doing.
Notts Women are playing at home Sunday against Worcester City, so will be looking forward to that one.

I have been trying to find time to write back at the apartment but have found work quite demanding. I had made a start to the fans forum, but as with my posting, I found myself bogged down with work. I do enjoy my job, so don't get me wrong, and it's much better covering sport-related articles than celeb gossip and people I wouldn't even consider famous.

Manchester is still quite unpleasant to walk around, even during the day. There are gangs of certain people now looking to attack anyone who remotely looks proud to be British.

I am actually considering moving back to Nottingham if I can find a similar job that pays well enough. Money isn't everything, but there are a lot of underpaid writing jobs going. It's a difficult time for writers, with all the shifts in the world.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

Looks like we had rain here again last night. That's 3 nights in the trot. The lawn is continuing to grow. Looks like we may have to cut it again the way things are going.

Our flowers are still holding on. Our garden is very sheltered so it does help the flowers to avoid the frost unless it gets very cold. Two of our hanging baskets seem to have had a new lease of life too.

Without a Notts match looks like I'll be watching a film or two today although I'll keep an eye on the local football scene.

Morning all, it’s a lovely start here, no park run for me today I just can’t motivate myself to drive up the motorway to take part. I’ll have a walk with Mrs.T later instead.

No match either so it’ll be a strange Saturday, I might get out in the garden to do some clearing again as it’s brown bin day on Monday.

I hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing.

Does this mean we have to choose to go to the Dark Side Star Wars GIF

Or take a walk on the wild (light) side

Looks like the choice is made !!!!

Cool dude wins hands down.

There ends the frustration because there is no game, hence nothing to focus on for this certain person.

Hope you all have a superb weekend.

It's been a strange Saturday with Notts not having a game today. I've been keeping up with my local team.

My closest team is AFC Mansfield who play in the United Counties League Premier Div North, tier 9 of the football pyramid. They were playing at Hucknall Town but lost 0:2. That leaves them third from bottom of their league with 11 points. They need to improve.

I'm pleased that some of Notts rivals lost their matches today & some could only manage a draw, so it leaves Notts still lying three points off a playoff spot.

There is a Notts County game this weekend. The Notts Women continue their league campaign against Worcester City at Coronation Park Eastwood, Kick off 2pm.

It's starting to get a little colder outside. Central heating turned up a little. It's been a nice warm summer on the whole & we managed to keep the heating off or very low for a long period of time.

We plan to do a little gardening this morning. Will be removing some of the dead perennial flowers & cutting the plants down. They will come back next year.
