Notts need to step it up. It was a terrible goal to concede. Notts have to become a two half team, not just a one half outfit

Sub for Notts Dennis replaces Grant.

if they get a goal back I’ll start to get a bit worried.

I can report that I did get worried but thankfully we held the lead for a great win. Third in the league sounds good doesn’t it?

Super away win. No complaints about the second half, apart from the foul for their goal, Cheltenham were always going to play better after the break.

Our 1st half performance won the 3pts for us.

Was that Scott Robertson's best ever game in a Notts shirt? He didn't look like a L2 player tonight.

Just a few stats that show that Notts are heading in the right direction.

Five games unbeaten in the league now for Notts (W4 D1) & seven wins from their last 10 matches.

No side in League Two is in better form than the Magpies right now. Notts just have to try to keep this going.

I liked how we mixed it today. First half we used the flanks well with Bennetts and Tsaroulla, and the set-piece pressure told. Jatta reacted fastest for the opener, then Hall picked his spot for the second. After the break Cheltenham had their spell, as you’d expect at home, but we stayed organised. Roos made the key stop before their goal and stayed composed afterwards. The bookings were managed, the subs helped stretch it, and the corners at the end were defended with calm heads.

An excellent team performance, really should have been 3 up after 45mins.

poor goal to concede but back 3 stayed solid

What a superb performance in the first half. Firing on all cylinders with some very admirable football played. Two very good and well taken goals, we really should of been out of sight by half time with the other opportunities crafted by the team playing some totally committed football. A change of shape and a more willingness to move forward from our opponents made the second half more challenging, but even when they scored we didn't look like giving anything more away. We'll done Martin and the whole team. Bring on Harrogate for another footballing lesson. 🤠

the first half we could have been well away from just leading by 2-0 and although they came into more in the second half, i did not feel at any point like the result was not going to go our way. i thought the midfield was very solid, supporting attack and defence. straight from kick off we looked to get settled and that helped moving forward. nick tsaroulla played a very good role in the win, i thought he was class.

That really was an excellent away performance overall, Cheltenham were always going to change after half-time because we totally dominated them in the first half and had Tsaroulla’s header been centimetres to the left it clips the post and we go in 3-0 up.

Iorpenda showed just how important mobility is for a midfielder, it was the right choice to start him alongside Roberston. He was like a gazelle just breezing past Cheltenham’s players at times. No idea how likely it is but I’d be desperate to get him in permanently at the end of the season.

The oldest outfield players in the starting 11 last night were Tsaroulla and Bennetts, and they are only 26, everyone else was younger! We've got a core of really promising young players here now.

The only blemish was the goal, I'd imagine with VAR it gets given as a foul but the ref gave us pretty much every 50-50 after so it was probably playing on his mind and that helped us. No idea why Ness heads it back into the danger area though, that was really poor from him and was probably his only real mistake of the night.

Good to see us get back on track in such encouraging fashion though, we are looking really solid in the league right now.

I know we can’t get carried away with the win last night and being in the automatic promotion spots means nothing at this stage of the season, but credit where credit is due. We had arguably three of our best players missing last night and we played some great football and when it got tough, we found away to win. I also believe that the Brackley Town disaster highlights that when it really matters (in the league) we are able put in a good performance!
