A very dissapointing defeat against a side that Notts have had a good recent record against since returning to League 2.

So did any Notts player stand out for you today? I have picked the starting eleven for you to choose your PON Man of the match.

Those players are,

Roos, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Norburn, Iorpenda, Kouhyar, Hall, Dennis, Jatta.

I thought there were only 2 contenders tbh - Dennis & Iorpenda.

Dennis was the only real goal threat and he showed the required levels of application and determination. Iorpenda was the only other who showed up well throughout the game. He covers a lot of ground, wins his challenges and uses the ball well. He did manage a shot on target too, of course.

On balance, I’d give it to Iorpenda, but it’s a close call. The 2 of them often linked well together but in a team full of mediocrity, Iorpenda shives with his skill, awareness, industry and attitude.

We are away at present but I managed to watch most the game on the laptop in between wifi outages, from what I saw I’m giving my vote to Dennis who was unlucky not to score.

My only concern with Dennis was that he didn’t score - and he has a couple of good opportunities to be fair.

He is far more dangerous throughout the game than Jatta tho’. Dennis has better close control, more ball skill and threatens the keeper/goal more often too.

Tricky, because we needed someone to do something, I thought of the subs Bennetts was the only player who came on and tried to actually do something.

I think it's a low bar but the picks for me are Bedeau or Dennis. Purely for being the only defensive player not at fault for the goal, I'll go for Bedeau. Had Dennis scored one of his headers it would've been him.
