What would your starting line-up be? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

Gillingham are going to employ similar tactics to Altrincham when Notts play them at ML on Sunday, but they will be better than Altrincham on paper. Notts will need to break them down & it will be tough to do.

I will be surprised if we see an unchanged Notts team for this match. Notts need to have players that can show moments of brilliance in the starting eleven.

I think Jodi Jones has to start whether it be on the wing or as a number ten. I would replace Macari with Ness at the back. I would also put Jatta on the bench with Dennis leading the line.

I would also consider Hinchy partnering Norburn in CM with Iorpenda just behind Dennis. Hopefully Palmer is close to being ready to start so having him back would be a big boost.

I think everyone is waiting for players to come in to strengthen the squad & we all know the positions that need strengthening. The quicker we see movement into the Club the better.

I notice that there will be a pitch inspection before the game, to be honest I don’t think it would be a bad thing if it was called off, I thought the players looked jaded in their last match there’s a lot of football to play this time of year.

A postponement would give them time to recharge their batteries.

Probably another discussion topic but I feel like they cram far too many football matches in over the Christmas period when it’s not really necessary. No idea if a postponement will suit us, on the one hand I think we'd look a a totally different team with Palmer and Robertson back in midfield. But Gillingham aren’t in great form, so maybe a quick chance to get over Accrington isn’t a bad thing.

I was actually surprised we made no changes for Accrington but surely with the turn around of just 3 days we’ll see changes. Given that Traore is basically AWOL I think a striker one the bench to come on for the last 30 would be useful. Hall is back now so I’d be tempted to play him with Grant and then either Jatta or Dennis upfront.

I think it'll be a surprise line-up. MP said himself that these particular players have had a long run (or words to that effect).

Predicting what those changes will be is a bit of a lottery.

I'd say Palmer in asap. He's not a sub, play him and get him on the path to match fitness right away. Main reason there is that despite Norburn doing OK we have to have someone showing for the ball to make this team work.

In two consecutive games now we've conceded goals from our own throw-ins around the half-way line. At MK, Dennis had to come back to receive it and then had no midfielder available to pass to (Accy was more of a fluke). Let Iorpenda do his box-to-box, all-over-the pitch thing, but we need the other guy to keep on showing for the ball and knit the play together. Norburn seems happy with the midfield being by-passed, cue Platty playing balls to the opposing GK all game long.

With the window open and a largish squad already, it's 'show us what you've got' time. We've seen Kouhyar. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw someone like Jarvis start in this one.

I'm a fan of JJ but isn't the way to get back into the team doing well when you come on as a sub? He hasn't, but I hope to see him as RWB tomorrow because I'm in no rush to see Kouhyar again and Gordon starting would be a downer.
