The Wrexham project is just a prime example with what's wrong with modern football.

We've seen an example of the chaos it can cause just a few hundred yards over the River Trent.

The Notts model of sustainability is an example of what clubs can still do with good housekeeping & a progressive financial plan.

Kind of a compliment really.

It’s funny, really. People talk about that Wrexham-Notts County mural like it’s some gladiatorial fresco of two titans locked in eternal combat, when in reality it’s part of this whole wave of Wrexham‑the‑mythology becoming Wrexham‑the‑street‑art. The Crispin Lane piece wasn’t even meant to stick around. Just a temporary promo, painted by a trio of very talented humans who probably didn’t expect their work to become a local landmark wedged between a football club and a ninth‑century earthwork. But here we are. Football, history, dragons… it’s a lot.

What’s happened to Wrexham since all of that only underlines what you already knew on the pitch. The resources, the momentum, the global spotlight… it was a tidal wave. And the fact that Notts County pushed us as close as you did? That wasn’t just impressive. That was miraculous in the way only football miracles are: quietly heroic, slightly absurd, and absolutely unforgettable.

If anything, it made the whole story better. Rivalries don’t work without someone worthy on the other side. And you were more than worthy.

I’m not great at the advice. Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

I feel very out of touch because I wasn't aware of this street art, and to be honest it doesn't bother me. Cedwyn Scott scored the most important penalty, and earned redemption for doing so. At least in terms of the clash against Wrexham vs. Notts. Beating Chesterfield gave us a far greater occasion and many fans first trip to Wembley stadium.

This is something I have tried to get Notts to allow me to do for over 8 years. I would love to put up murals from our history but the club would rather pay people to do it.

I am very confident, which will sound like I have an ego but I know I could create fan pieces which remind people just what Notts County means. Every time I have asked though, I get rejected and then not long after something similar is done. Example includes Alan Hardy positioning himself alongside other iconic characters based on height comparisons. I suppose people know I wouldn't be into that BS.

A field where dreams become reality.

I don't see a problem with it (although I bet a certain Mr Scott isn't too keen). It's a key moment in their recent history. That game was on a knife-edge, and if we'd won to seal the double over Wrexham I firmly believe we'd have gone on to win the league. But aunts, uncles and all that...
