A very dissapointing defeat today which loses Notts precious ground in the promotion race.

So who's the Notts player who stood out above the rest. These are the players I've named for you to make your choice.

Those players are,

Belshaw, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Robertson, Iorpenda, Jones, Kouhyar, Grant, Ndlovu, Dennis.

Not much to choose from today.

Macari or Platt? I'll go Platt - he continues his much better form, he had a good all-round game.

Iorpenda did fine. But it all goes blurry for him in the penalty area. Grant was OK. Kouhyah, had to be hooked, but Grant didn't.

McDonald was easily the pick of the substitues.

I go for Platt - solid, as usual, and wins his challenges. Very effective defensively, uses the ball well too. Macari & Bedeau did well,to be fair.

Iorpenda was lively and combative but faded, I thought, and wasn’t as busy in 2nd half. Tsaroulla was good for the most part.

We take Grant off and never look as good out of possession. Robertson was weak today, as were Kouhyar & Jones, who rarely takes a man on let alone beats one. He had a neat little run and got a couple of crosses in but that aint enough for me tbh.

I think the pick of the team came from the defence today. The Notts attack failed to take their chances so for me it's between Macari, Platt or Bedeau.

Out of this three I think Platt just shaded it, so he is my Notts Man of the Match. The Notts defence continues to perform consistently which is a big plus.

It was a disappointing result but nevertheless there were some good performances, Platt, Bedau, Jones and Iorpenda stood out for me of those I’m going for Iorpenda who seemed to be involved everywhere.

No one was perfect yesterday, but still some good performances. Defence was good, we are defending set pieces so much better this season. I wish we could find a way to get Rod McDonald into the team without dropping Matty Platt. My vote goes to Tom Iorpenda, he was playing a deeper role and yet managed to nearly get on the end of a Jodi cross. I feel he typified the desire even with 10 men to get something from the game.

I am not saying people are wrong, but I am surprised nobody has voted for Nick Tsaroulla until I have. I thought he was by far the best attacking player, and defensively strong. It was apprant just how much we missed him after making him off; I felt even Lewis Macari had one of his better games. It's a shame that I feel the narrow defeat seems to overlook matters, as it was one of those games that seemed a single goal would decide it.

Unfortunately, the only player higher up the pitch other than Tsaroulla I can praise is Scott Robertson. I think he was very much stuck in and worked hard, but I praise the team for collectively winning the ball back, especially in the first half.

A field where dreams become reality.

certainly i think the defending was better than our attack, but had that near miss of ours where lee ndlovu tried stretching to reach the ball it could have been different but matty platt played brilliantly.

Macari for me, though my vote could also have been placed with Bedeau and Platt
