Good morning it’s a bright promising start to the new week here, I hope we are all well and feeling buoyant after the weekend celebrating being in the top 3.

Things are getting back to normal here Mrs. T is feeling much better and yesterday she fancied a little walk after days of inactivity so we managed to complete our March step challenge on Strava of 100,000 steps.

Looking forward to seeing April’s challenge.

Congratulations @Fan of Big Tone and Mrs T,what a fantastic achievement for you both. No mean feat 100,000 steps you should really be proud of yourselves and in only 30 days. Well done. 🥳

Today the first of April 2026, the shackles of work were removed and I am now free to enter into a long and positive future 😀 the world is now my playground, so beware Mad Mick is out to party 24/7. Not really, I'm just happy to forge and be in charge of my own destiny. 🖖 Live Long and Prosper. 👣

Hi everyone, isn't it a lovely day? We’ve started another 100,000 steps challenge for April on Strava, it sounds a lot harder than it actually is we’ve only got to do around 3,300 per day and we can do that just walking through our town and back, so we are hoping to not only complete the 100,000 but do another 50,000 on top, as long as the weather is good and we stay healthy we think we may be able to do it, we just need to do 5000 steps a day. 🚶‍♀️

That reminds me of a song.

@Michael D Pie.: Congratulations on your retirement. I have the feeling it is very well deserved and I hope you find plenty of things to enjoy that keep you occupied. I am sure the world will be your oaster, and that you will be kept busy. Again, congrats my friend.

@Fan of Big Tone: Congratulations to you also for reaching the walking milestone. I hope it doesn't count your jogs/runs because I would consider that cheating but in all seriousness that's a great achievement and reminds me to focus on a similar thing for myself. The last time I enjoyed having the goal, even though I struggled at times. Well done, Tone!

I haven't been as active this week. I spent Tuesday with my day and again today, I did try to assign him to updating this but I think he tends to forget/easily distracted. Tuesday was one of the nicest days I have had in years, and it was lovely to spend it with Super. We had a walk to the post box, as he needed to post some cards he had forgotten to send. I would have done it myself for him, but he wanted a walk which is encouraging.

Mostly because he doesn't get out much, and hasn't been all that well in spells. Today, he had his blood taken and I walked with him to the doctors to keep him company.

The days I have had, it's trying to code things and prepare for next season. Every time I feel I can step back up, something crops up but it's closer than it isn't. I thought yesterday would have seen new content, but the social publisher I have built needed fixing. In the process of that, and other things, I nuked my dev install. I installed it again last night with no success but it's up now. I have fixed the issue, but the previous install was damaged beyond repair.

Frustrating, but a learning curve.

Congratulations on your retirement @Michael D Pie.. I can't see any ferrets on those pics, I hope he hasn't escaped o

@Fan of Big Tone, it might not be many steps per day, but it's all about forming positive habits. I should follow your example really. Time to dust down my bike for the spring!
