Seems he may have got his mojo back, scoring twice last night as Atletico defeat Real over two legs to reach the quarter finals of Spanish Cup.

My thoughts on this, he thrives on being "loved"... He was hero worshipped at both Atletico and then at Liverpool, it never happened after that, the supporters of Chelsea and then Milan never loved him the same way, and his football showed...

He's a good player but I said at the time a move to Chelsea was never in his best interest.

That said he started to get it back and provided the managers at Chelsea worked with him it would have been better, a friend who runs a Chelsea fan site was always going on about playing to his strengths. Majority of Spanish football clubs would, I am not sure many a way from them do. Liverpool built him as their main focal point.

A field where dreams become reality.

His goals were pretty decent too! It is a bit strange how hot/cold he can be just because of what club he is at

I think it's more to do with the club being willing to play to his strengths. When that has been done he has been unplayable. When it hasn't, he becomes an expensive shirt holder.
