Doncaster Rovers v Notts County

It can't be said that this game will be any easy, in fact if we defend as we did against Crewe Alexandra - Doncaster Rovers will mostly punish us because they're a quality side.

That said having see Santos (first time), Hayhurst, Thomas and Daniels. I think we have narrowed down that gap within the lack of creativity and ability to get the ball forward. Once things settle a bit, I think the attacking will start to connected. Thomas could have introduced more into the game, however this is no negative comment to the Derby lad he covered some ground and his effort was top notice. I would like to see more from Santos, especially with his running.

Doncaster Rovers isn't really a team I expect anyone to dismiss, after all we have played them a lot this season.

I can see the game going in either direction, my heart says win but my head thinks we could lose or draw.

I'll keep it safe and predict another 1-1, hoping that Daniels or someone steals it again. ;)

Thoughts?

If Daniels starts we will have to keep putting in crosses and getting the ball to him or his partner.

Derry will have difficulty choose with all involved doing well, even the Noble incident leaves a question will Traore start or Wroe? It would be nice to find that consistency and stability within the squad selection and formation. YOU MIGHTY MAGPIES!

if we can steady the ship at the back, then we can focus more on attacking.

doncaster are a team i would like us to beat. call the game? that is hard, i will leave it to anyone who knows more about that but i see no reason why we could win. a draw would be okay. if we can avoid defeat all the more better!

Time for us to find ourselves the right form to push on.

Losing would not be a bad thing but would prefer at least a point here. After the jpt tie we could do with seeing this as our day at wembley albeit the keepmoat stadium but it would be nice to win them.Β

Anyone going? Doncaster is a grand ground to visit.

I will be making my way shortly after finishing work, I like to have a few pints before watching Notts. It would be nice to rebuild the away form, perhaps even make meadow lane a fortress. Before someone states anything, draws and wins not just wins.

Good read that the preview.

Taking into account what a good result here could do, it will seem like Derry continues with his progression. I just hope we attack and take the game to them, provided we create chances I see us scoring. Hopefully a 2-1 win.

I think if we win the next two games, we can realistically look at maybe sneaking the play-offs.

If we get 3 points from a possible 6, it's still in the balance. Lose both however, and we're looking at avoiding relegation.

Tipping point of our season IMO.

I'm quite content to take the games as they come now, but it would be nice.

The dream certainly isn't over and I have a feeling Derry never did give up but I suspect he doesn't want the fan base to be down about it. If we do win, he will have hell on playing it down.

We just need to focus on the ball, make sure the lads enjoy it and if they do we will.

We will need to stand up to them and avoid losing the ball, provided we can retain it for me it's all about creating and making sure we take our chances. I don't expect them to totally take us out of the game, it should at least be end to end and the famous 'who scores first' will come into this game.

I'm just hoping we can end the half without conceding because that we be good for confidence.
