County extend unbeaten run

<!--url{0}-->Notts County extended their unbeaten run to seven games but at 0-0 draw at Crawley did little to boost either sides' play-off hopes.

Crawley created more clear-cut chances and Mike Jones was wastefully off target at the far post from Mustapha Dumbuya's cross.

Jamie Proctor's cross was then deflected on to his own crossbar by County defender Haydn Hollis in the 69th minute.

Crawley threatened early on when a goal-bound 20-yard shot by former Swansea striker Proctor was turned round the post by visiting goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

Bialkowski twice denied Jake Taylor and smothered Matt Sparrow's close range effort.

Notts midfielder Gary Liddle was booked for chopping down Nicky Adams just before the interval and from the resulting free-kick Sparrow blazed wastefully over.

Crawley continued to carry the most threat after the break and Adams had a low shot saved after a surging run from Mike Jones.

Home manager Richie Barker introduced three attacking players in a bid to pep up his mis-firing front line, but the result leaves the Red Devils with only one win from their last 11 home league games.

It,s great to be unbeaten but unfortunetly it's 3 points per game required at the moment.

I agree with Super Ram but then respect his achievements so far, I'd really like to see him turn these into wins but this isn't going to happen. The fact we're not losing every game or every other is a bonus, I hope Chris enjoys the rest of the season but I hope he see's that the formations that Curle would choose are not the one's he should be choosing. Players, I can accept but the formation prevents so much in terms of game planning.

Over the moon, just wanting to see us better ourselves a little.

Notts have drawn 13 games so far this season. If 3 of those games had been wins Notts would be almost in a playoff position. Also I think I'm correct in adding that apart from two 2-0 reverses all Notts other defeats have been by the odd goal.

All the points we can get will secure us a place in the play-offs but i guess its better to at least get one point than nothing. Not losing a game will hopefully keep the players moral up too.
