What a great deal by the Blues. If him and Costa start every game them will rip the league apart. He didn't perform at Manure but he's had a year to get settled with the league and if he goes to Chelsea he is going to be up front with a partner who he can score goals or fun with.

I spoke to a friend called 'Jim' earlier, he runs one of the biggest Chelsea websites and he told me how he felt that the money wouldn't be justified by 'real' supporters, that they are more keen to see the club continue to develop and push through talent, which admittedly had been lacking in recent years. For example, they rate Bamford but he will never get a game now.

There's absolutely no chance and they still have to restructure a fair bit.

So, my view is that it's a risk that they haven't spent more wisely but they will be able to attack. Question is will they defend well?
