Not a bad lineup @Piethagoram , but I think the nightmare vision is likelier! I can't see us winning this in a million years. Come on Notts, surprise us.

  • There's a simple reason why Luton fans are mostly happy. They are making progress under a highly rated, well respected manager. Their season has mirrored Notts when you think about it. Favourites for

I would rest Stead myself, I like how he defends but he drifts and tries running with the ball which at his age are two things he should try to avoid as much as possible. I like him, I think he works hard and takes some unfair flack for when things go wrong but after last Saturday I would hope for more energy up front.

McLeod is due a goal, however if he doesn't pull his weight or look interest - JF must give him sideline instructions.

I'm also starting to feel we should probably select a new captain from the out field options we have, this is a popular comment when I speak to fans at Meadow Lane - they all say it should be someone other than Carroll and again, recent performances just makes me feel that we need someone to motivate the players around them. I'm sure Roy is proud to lead us, it's also nothing personal but I do think his leadership has worn off.

Some mobility would be nice, we are just too static and make it way too easy for the opposition to run past us, which McCourt will do easily if he is in the mood. I can't see us getting anything out of this at all and can see a pasting if we just try to defend, so 5-0 to Luton. I would normally put a 1 against our name, but just can't see us creating any chances.

Noble, Aborah and Murray to start please, with Bennett, Campbell and McLeod making way. I could swap a lot more, but doubt it would happen!

@upthepies It's all ticket, so make sure you dont make a wasted journey

Thanks, I have decided to remain at home for once. No chance of getting a ticket before hand unless I ordered from Luton, why is there no pay on the day?

It depends if the two CB's work together, one not going stray or leaving loads of room and the full backs giving support (as requires from the midfield).

For once, I hope any strikers remain up top where they belong.

They won't as they all want away from the circus that we have become, we will have every man behind the ball all the time and then just wallop the ball to their defenders at every given chance.

Looks good on a power point though

Both of those line-ups stand a chance of having a shot on target, so don't be silly and return those line-ups to what the travelling few will be tortured with tomorrow...

I hope we can get a win, i know both teams will want a win from this fixture. I hope the team play together properly and get a good win.... we need the points.

I am pleased with the business Notts have done today, good luck to Jimmy but I think he wanted a new start, looking forward to going tomorrow and bringing 3 points home, Coyp

Imo abhorah won't play .. Fullarton was asked by the press specifically about him today and he talked about attitude , fitness , injuries etc.. Reading between the lines the lad isn't doing the business since his arrival so I don't think he will use him. Hopefully a more attacking stance and more pressure on the ball tomorrow

@NewNottsFan I am already concerned re Stanley. Stanley has been a real spark of light this season and his dead ball delivery in his last full match was better than anyone else at the club. The trouble is that Jamie seems to have dropped into a Derry type mind set. If he is forcing Stanley out, then what small goodwill that remains will evaporate. If he ever does that, it will not be in my name, creativity and skill must have some place in my Notts County #StanleyIn

Can't disagree with that but it may not be a case of forcing anyone out . When the manager was asked yesterday he said he wasn't injured but then talked about the 4 things that affects selection. Might actually just be the case that aborah has seen the guy who signed him leave and doesn't fancy it ? Not saying that's the case but if he is that good then makes no sense for the manager to leave him out unless he's not putting a shift in? It's hard to judge unless we see how those relationships are day to day I s'pose

@NewNottsFan "unless he's not putting a shift in"...well, if you saw Bennett last week, that wasn't a shift in my book. if Jamie has a Derry or Paul Hart mindset, then his appointment is a big mistake. It is important for Jamie to take the crowd with him in support, ..so we look for success today

I think last week wasn't great all round, I just meant in training etc .. Can't think of any other reason he'd be left out .

judging by a lot of folk online he has a mammoth task with some fans ... And an impossible task with some .. But I agree , let's hope for success today ;0)

Given that line up i'm now changing my prediction to 7-0 win for Luton, we will only be watching the ball drop from the clouds again as we are playing 7 at the back again.

@erindoorsWhy oh why can't we have evolution rather than constant revolution every three months when we change our managers?

I haven't even seen the team line-up, actually going out because I want to spend time with my family.

Hopefully things won't be grim upon returning.

Meanwhile SD brings Spencer on as sub....and he scores inside 2 minutes!!.....Cambridge gain a huge away win at Orient

Fottball is a funny old game!!
