I would have said Notts but the inclusion of north and south means I'm not sure...tough one!

I think I know the answer to this question but I'll let a few members have a go.If I'm correct a high scoring Rams player joined them a fair while ago

I reckon Notts only played in div 3 South, along with Forest. Didn't Derby play in Div 3 north?

I think it's probably West midlands, so will go with Wolves, or Coventry?

Geography decided whether you were in South or North. Some teams were moved between the 2. I think Derby were 1 of those but don't think they played in the 4th. I'll go for Wolves as well.

@Blackville The reason I knew the answer to your question is that I remembered reading about the Rams player I mentioned. His name was Ray Straw and he  came from Ilkeston. He played in the 1st,2nd and 3rd Div North for Derby. In the 1957/8 season(my 2nd season as a Rams fan) he scored 37 goals thus helping achieve promotion and become joint record scorer(Jack Bowers had done it previously in Div 1)The following season he was transferred to Coventry City where he played in Div 3 South,Div 3 and Div 4.He ended hie career at Mansfield. This also makes him one of the few players to have played in all 6 English leagues. Here endeth the lesson!
