Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Mariners (H)

What worries me is that physical sides are taking points off Notts. Yeovil's only win was against Notts. Stevenage and Grimsby took points away from Meadow Lane. Notts have to improve on the physical side of things if a promotion challenge is to be mounted. I'm still confident that it will be sorted.

A very good point today, i thought once we went 2-0 down all was lost, but we got back in it and probably should have won it! I have to agree though, whenever we play a physical side we find it hard, especially when they have a big striker like Bogle!

Some words of credit for Grimsby. Thought Bogle was superb and again questions our scouting as to why Brano didnt recommend him ahead of Idle

Oliver may not be for the football purist what they want to see , but this is league 2 and the qualities he showed when he came on were first class and needed at this level to , so well done , a point when we looked destined for none is a bonus , we would definitely have lost that game last season I'm sure , and came close to winning it to when not at our best . A very good point (your analysis as well as the 2-2!).  The Grimsby centre backs had a very easy afternoon until Oliver came on, then suddenly they were struggling.  We played mainly route one long ball stuff to him, but he got on the end of most of them.  He reminded me of Jason Lee a bit - as you say not one for the purists, but very effective.  That can go a long way at our level.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.
