Game 23 - United (H)

Team: Cambridge United

Date: 23/12/17

Where: Meadow Lane

What line-up should Kevin Nolan opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

Have your say below, join in with the Pride of Nottingham match discussion.

Cambridge have won just one of their last six in all competitions and were hammered 7-0 at Luton a month ago. Plus Mick Halsall's left the club - they're out of sorts at the minute so providing Notts don't let standards slip, it's theirs for the taking.

Shaun Derry will most likely get Cambridge playing through the middle and trying to exploit our CB's.

They have some useful pace and it's something we may find difficult to manage with at times, although I do believe they're there for the taking. We just need to press and defend effectively, taking care to control the game and its tempo. Hopefully we'll draw some useful fouls and get into some good positions, yet it could be another tricky tie. We have to focus and attack better here.

We can't drop any points, its important we don't. COYP!

Make sure the keeper doesn't kick the ball directly at a Cambridge player and we'll be alright, yes I would've thought this wouldΒ be common sense but ask Roy Carroll, Scott Loach and Adam Collin apparently it is not..

Again for me confidence is high , Cambridge out of sorts , with the high tempo high press , out blocks sharp , and being bang at it , the mighty pies should have to much for CU , would be great to go into Christmas without a defeat on home turf this season and just the one league defeat the whole year , wow what a difference a year makes , COYP , 3-0 Notts ,Β :hyper:

Now that's what you call determination , don't know when they are beaten this team , well done for recovering from 3 down, didn't see them getting 3 before the game with the away record they have , then couldn't at 3 down see a 3-3 , isn't football just amazing at times , home form still intact , COYPΒ :frantics:
