Game 5 - Red Imps (A)

Team: Lincoln City

What line-up should Kevin Nolan opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

i dread to think what an inform lincoln city can do against a team like notts right now. i hope those who are attending have things they can do to take their minds of what they see because unless kn changes or gets a response we are sitting ducks.

sorry to be negative but just look how well they are doing.

they will destroy the notts defence.

KN loses this his job is in doubt, loses against FGR hes gone so massive game to get up for. I think hell lineup like this.

Fitz , Tootle - Brisely - Duffy - Kellett , Thomas - Vaughan - Husin - Boldewjin , Hemmings, Stead

Would expect to see no change however to the tactics and match preperation and not feeling confident at all about this one especially with our shocking form of conceding goals. Akinde and Green rip us to shreds. The likes of Shackell and Toffolo will ruin us in set pieces and it would be a result in itself just to not let this become a cricket score.

Score Prediction: Lincoln 4 (Akinde, Akinde, Green, O'Connor)- 1 Notts County (Hemmings)

Lose the next 2 games and Nolan is gone IMO, if not then that proves Hardy is clinging on to something that just isn't happening. Knock him down a peg or two.

I would want to think Notts could put on a good performance but the recent performances and lack of confidence makes me feel that this won't be a wise move.

Lincoln will be watching our two two away games and think they have won it before we kick a ball.

You would hope this is the game that makes the Notts players take this season more seriously, the pre-season mode is over but after failing to beat Newport County - I can't see how Notts can beat an inform Lincoln City side.

I'm struggling to say anything more positive than this, it's unlikely we will do better than a draw.

We are having the complete opposite to last season.

Hardworking Notts squad fights for the playoffs, technically good squad on paper struggling to do the backs and sinking quicker to the bottom of the league than we have experienced before. Last nights result is shocking, Nolan now needs to address the issue by making changes.

Come on guys, Notts will get themselves out of this mess and a local derby could be the type of game to remind the players.

We did well against Lincoln last season, this time round it's going to be a nightmare.

I'm afraid if Lincoln scores more than 1 goal that they will just click and we will buckle under the pressure. I would like to think Notts can cancel each other out but I just don't think it's likely. I have not predicted a loss this season but I think it will be 3-1 on Saturday.

Advance apologies !!!!

Sorry to be super-negative but I can see nothing other than a comprehensive dismantling of our powder puff midfield and non-existent defence by a rampant Lincoln City.

All the Lincoln fans I know are still enraged by what happened in the 4 - 1 defeat at our place last season. You remembe: the game very finely balanced at 1-1 in the first half, then a very iffy sending off decision turned the game on its head.  Lincon are looking for revenge and then some, so i'm going for.

Lincoln 6 - Notts 0

More importantly, after Saturday we have just 6 days to get in reinforcements before the transfer window shuts. Hopefully the beast-enforcer-destroyer in the middle of the park like Paul Harding or a younger Neil Bishop, a powerful, commanding centre back to go with Hall and a big, strong goalkeeper who inspires confidence by controlling the 6 yard box  and organising the defence in front of him - someone like Russell Hoult when he first came to us.

Any hoo, rant over, dust down the prayer mat and a heartfelt COYP !!

I think a draw could be plausible if we cancel each other, I do expect the defence to finally respond to Kevin Nolan's demands and of course our own. It just depends if a stupid mistake ends up costing us.

I'd say 1-1 myself, quite optimistic about that.

Lincoln will be thinking its the perfect time to go into this game, so let's hope whatever training and whatever has been said to the players pays off. Otherwise the confidence could be extremely low, leading to a worst result.

I would just be happy if Notts can get to the end of the first half without conceding a goal.

Yes, on the face of it we will get a sound thrashing tomorrow. But I take no pleasure in saying that.

how Wonderful would it be for us to get a positive result tomorrow and watch Kevin give the metaphorical two fingers to the idiots calling for his sacking after 4 games and before I get slated for saying 4 games, yes it is we have 8 new signings, it’s a new team, a new ethos & a new season.lets get real, get behind the team & get behind the manager.

Everyone is expecting a thrashing, the Lincoln team and manager will be expecting to beat us easily, wouldn't it be just like to Notts to go and get a win against all odds.

Then again...................

1-0 down already, the best start imaginal by Notts (sarcasm).

If we go into the second half like this, maybe it wouldn't be that much of a set back but Notts needs to wake up.
