Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Boro (H)

Good luck on Saturday against Stevenage Magpie fans.

I will be keeping a look out for your score, hopefully Saturday you bag your first league win and then things won't look so bad. There's a long way to go, keep fighting and stay positive.

We really do need to start plucking some courage together and get some team spirit going. 9pts is a must in the remaining games in September if we are to seriously carry on this promotion hope. We can

I think Stevenage would be a good chance to get the first win. I would have been more confident under Nolan than I am with Kewell because I feel he needs more time to fully understand the squad b

Usually I would be pleased to see Stevenage but they have a couple of former magpie players and this usually leads to them scoring or playing well. I don't know what to expect but I hope to see a good result come from the game.

Allan Hardy has just said that 2 new players will be announced at 11:30 today (Friday) if they are the right positions (and fit to play) we’ll win 2 - 0

I'm looking for that first league win and a positive atmosphere tomorrow.

The new signs should offer something useful at the back and I think the other departments should be more than fine now. 2-1 Notts.

Dennis and Vaughan to score.

If Oxlade-Chamberlain can get his act together, Notts could have a lot of pace on the wings with the arrival of Evina.

This could leave Jones to be used as backup in the centre.

The squad doesn't need anymore additions unless a goalkeeper is available, I feel this set of players must start to work as a team and lift their own morale up. Tomorrow is looking more appealing now.

I'm hopeful Stevenage will underestimate us (rightfully so) and we'll see the results from a proper week of training with Kewell; that being play like Barca and ease to a 3-0 win!

However if recent form is anything to go by Stevenage will probably score a late winner and beat us 2-1. I can see it now; a hopeful ball into the box finds their striker in plenty of space unmarked and 6 yards out. His attempt is fumbled by Fitzsimons who drops it. Our defenders in a panic try to clear it but get in each others way and can only watch as the ball is scuffed into the back of the net.

I know we're only 7 games in, but we really need a positive result tomorrow!

It's a tall order to ask but nothing less than 3 points required from the game against Stevenage.

The players must perform for Kewell or he will have to drop the weaker ones.
