What Would Be Your Dream Pairing Upfront?

Featured Replies

For a bit of fun as the title says who would be your dream partnership upfront at Notts?? The partnership has to be chosen from players who have played at Meadow Lane during you time supporting Notts.

My choice after much deliberation would have to be Lee Hughes & Danny Allsopp

You've said exactly who I would have picked.

Perhaps to be different, I'll say Tommy Johnson instead of Lee Hughes, so Tommy would partner Danny. If we go outside of Notts players, I'd love to have Paddy Madden and Will Grigg (I think these would be lethal partnered together).

A field where dreams become reality.

Right sorry about the technical hitch, I have just had a word with myself.

In my time watching Notts, I would go with Paul Rideout and Tommy Johnson, I did consider Lee Hughes, but it is my firm opinion that Rideout was sold out from under our noses way too quickly and I believe he would have been just as good, if not better.

To pick past masters, I cannot pick two from these three. Tommy Lawton, Dixie Dean and Brian Clough. Has there been any English strikers with a better goal scoring ratio than Dean and Clough? Tommy has to be in there, purely on sentimental grounds for the stuff I have read about him.
