It is notΒ often to see Slocombe being outshone...but Harry Isted looks to have a great future.

I have always been impressed with Dean Parrett, pity he didn't sign for Notts back in 2013... always looked a quality player and Ardley signed him for Wimbledon.

"I've liked Dean ever since he was at Spurs," Dons boss Neal Ardley toldΒ the club website.

"He's very dynamic, very quick and technically excellent. I think he has goals in him."

Parrett is Wimbledon's fourth signing of the summer following their promotion to the third tier via the League Two play-offs.

The Dons have not disclosed the length of Parrett's deal at Kingsmeadow.

Dean Parrett just like Sean Shields came through Spurs academy, Parrett was once tipped as a future international but was never given much chance with Tottenham himself. He became somewhat of a journey man never really getting settled or reaching his once promised potential.

He does have a connection with Neal Ardley, as mentioned above.

Wealdstone signed him in November, so he's unlikely to leave any time soon and, I can see them offering him a new deal.

I don't know Harry Isted but I bet Luton Town will be more interested in giving him some first team experience now that he's caught the spot light with that amazing double save.

@Piethagoram Wow, I didn't know we had him on trial.

Was that the tour when Nangle scored that screamer? I think it was Romello Nangle that scored that long distance goal whilst we was on tour.
