Altrincham have lost 4 games in a row. They were hammered 4-0 by Sutton at home 2 games ago. They lost 3-2 to Barnet at home in their last game. There isn't a better time to be playing them. Notts should be winning games like this. No excuses. 3-0 to Notts I reckon.

1-0 down to Altrincham. Hard to believe but there it is. We'll have another manager by Monday if it stays like this!

Quite unbelievable that it's 1-1 at HT. Need a much better second half if we're to get the 3 points here...

That'll be the last time I pay for a stream. You can say what you like about lack of quality, but the thing that has pissed me off most is the complete lack of urgency. You're drawing against Altrincham, you need to win.... and Notts take their time with the throws ins and pass sideways and backwards.

They don't give a ****, and neither do I.

Stuff the lot of them.

Wow. We failed to beat a team who have been absolutely rubbish in their last 2 games. What else is there to say!

Unfortunately @Super_Danny_Allsopp analysis is right. No motivation, no nothing... they just don't care. Only player who could beat a man was Ruben  and he got subbed

Yeah, that was one of our easiest games from our run in (on paper) and we really struggled.

We’re so toothless in attack, luckily we were bailed out by a great set-piece. And the dreadful passing giving it to the opposition in dangerous areas continued, somehow it didn’t cost us another goal today.

Now I’ll spend the rest of the weekend just trying to block out the fact we’re playing Sutton on Tuesday - they recently went to Altrincham and beat them 4-0. 😳

Is it just me or does it feel like the players have given up? There's no drive. No urgency. No ambition. It would be a miracle if we made the playoffs now. IB is trying but it's not working. There's little point in getting rid of him now. Maybe he will grow into the role.

It's really jarring to listen to fighting talk in interviews, only to listen to the commentators almost crying with frustration at the lack of urgency on matchday. Looking at the table, we've still got a very real chance of making the playoffs, but we seem to have given up.

IB isn't to blame for our weakness in key areas, of course, but part of the art of being a manager is getting the best out of what's at your disposal, and so far he's failing lamentably. It's getting to the point where you wonder if it goes a bit deeper than a poor spell of form. I wonder if we have a number of players who knew they were leaving at the end of the season, but were giving their all for Neal. Now he's gone, they're phoning in.

Agree, the season is far from over but it does seem that way.  Unless something strange happens, it looks like Sutton, Torquay, Hartlepool and Stockport will occupy the top 4 places. It also looks like the other 3 playoff places are between 6 clubs - us, Halifax, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Eastleigh and Bromley. This is the maximum points total each of those 6 clubs can achieve:

Wrexham 75
Notts 75
Halifax 74
Chesterfield 74
Bromley 73
Eastleigh 71

On current form tables, we have no chance of getting near 75 points, but current form is really 'past 6 games form'. It tells you what has happened, but it doesn't predict the future. We've been at or near the top of the current form table this season, but then gone on a poor run. I honestly can't see us suddenly going on a winning run, but there's still a very tempting prize on offer if we do.

I haven't changed it, I really should but part of me wishes he was still here.

Those fools who called for Ardley after every defeat/draw, poor souls are now in overtime. I imagine they'll be doing it even if Ian Burchnall wins 3 games in a row back to back. 🤣
