Leicester win the FA Cup

Remember when the FA Cup rounded off the season? It was the showcase of English football, watched by millions around the globe. Those days are gone but every now and then the FA Cup rises from the ashes and we get a feeling of what it was like in its heyday. Yesterday was one of those days. Leicester won the FA Cup for the first time. Fans were there to witness it. Grown men cried. Grown women cried. Kids cried. Gary Lineker went bananas. It was fitting that it a wonder goal won it. Just for a moment, I was 10 again, a happy time, sat in front of the telly watching the game I would grow to love. It was magical.

I wish I'd seen it. That's the FA Cup at its best - providing unforgettable memories, not as yet another trophy for a big club's cabinet or a consolation prize.

Also chuffed to see two County rejects lifting the cup. I bet that softens the blow of not being able to play against Bromley a little bit.

The game wasn't the best, Chelsea should've won, but they insisted on walking the ball into the net. They had all the chances and majority of good build up, yet little end product. The goal that sealed the win for Leicester City was a beauty, no question it should count - it wasn't hand to ball in the build up. Whereas at the time, I said to @super_pie Chillwell was offside. Very pleased for them, it's deserved after their amazing cup run.
