It will be a whole host of things, all depending on when they're being sent out. I am more than happy for members to contribute to the newsletter, so for anyone interested please just reach out to me and I will do my best to feature you. Going back to content, it will have guest columnists - this could be an ex player teasing features they have written with a bit more background to former staff, fans etc. There will be content promoted within the newsletters to promote articles, blogs, forum posts, wallpapers etc. Yet there will be a lot of content inside the newsletter, with mini previews, reflections and appeals for fans to get involved in various ways. Fortnighly is the plan, the outline of content is as mentioned above. I already have some good things lined up. I know I have said a couple of times that newsletters will return, but there were times I couldn't foresee personal stuff cropping up. Also, I am happy for members to take part. I am hopeful @DangerousSausage will add a quirky muse to the newsletter from time to time. Well, it would be hard to give a sneak preview to the Faces of PON, but I don't see any reason why some pictures couldn't feature within the newsletter - even if I just create a collage.

Sorry @super_ram, beforehand if this is something you disagree with. Frank Lampard only succeeded at Derby County at a point where their chairman was spending money, and wanting to buy young Premier League talent as a way to force themselves back into the Premier League. Mel Morris, seemed to start off with good intentions but quickly seemed to enjoy rubbing shoulders with the bigger players/clubs. He reminds me of Alan Hardy to some extent. Although, one I would say is Temu and the other Wish.com (Morris/Hardly). Lampard had good foundations at Derby, an ambitious club, and he managed to use his connections to bring in good players from Chelsea on loan. Jumping to Chelsea was the wrong decision, and that has impacted his career ever since. Everton seemed a sillier decision considering how they had dropped off since selling players like James Rodríguez, and the downfall since it is largely due to Lampard being the wrong appointment. I can't see him succeeding at Coventry City, not even if he has his uncle Harry Rednapp on speed dial. I don't have any sympathy for him, he seems to choose clubs based on how desperate he is and how big of a club they are. He doesn't seem interested in working at a level where he could truly learn and improve over time. Being a good player doesn't make you a great manager. To some extent, I feel the same way about Steven Gerrard.

I might seem stubborn, but I would rather be followed by x amount of people who want to engage. Then, the x++ simply desires a follow back. BlueSky seems different, but it does anyone on Twitter (X) that you get people obsessed with numbers. You follow back, perhaps even engage, and then you are unfollowed. I tended to block and unfollow. With my personal account on BlueSky, I hope to share more on than I would on Twitter (X). As for PON, a smaller following can be better at first. On Facebook the page quietly broke 5,000 followers, and it's not something I tend to go on about. Milestones are fun, but I would rather focus on the content. BlueSky has motivated me towards stepping up a bit more. No chance, @super_pie has suggested this firstly as a joke but then as a more serious way of reaching younger fans. ???? I would rather put time towards getting the better media PON had back and on a constant basis, than to do short videos talking about Notts or attempting to start a viral 'Notts dance'.

I remember when I was trying to get Football Manics off the ground, a lot of football fans were surprised by how Liverpool did against the teams who were spending silly money. Likewise, I could draw examples from Leicester City. The thing is with football, Manchester City have enjoyed being the team that can sign any player, and have a large squad but never have they really changed or adapted their play. Some people might ask why they would? But it's not enough to replace players with like for like players. In fact, a lot of players who get considered similar to another in truth are completely different. The media are trying to suggest Kyle Walker is past it, which makes me laugh because he's still a very good player. Their issue is they are not adapting or evolving their playing style, and to a point I agree they are too reliant on Erling Haaland to change their fortunes. I have seen games where they had plenty of options to have a shot, but made it a lot more difficult by giving Haaland the ball.

What are you currently invested in watching? It could be on TV, streaming service or even a YouTube channel. At the moment I am watching a few things, From I have recently finished. Sweet Pea, Before (Billy Crystal). I recently watched the Vince Vaughn's "Bad Monkey". What about you?

I wouldn't object to seeing one of our youngsters start, but other than that I think we'd be best to start a strong squad. I agree that the back three could see changes because we have capable players in this area that could be rotated for the game. However, our attacking options and better players ahead of those really should be started. I would hope that Cedwyn Scott could start, I would be very tempted to play him as a striker who can drop into an attacking midfield role. Fingers crossed we can give Dan Crowley some minutes, he's a player who could easily create a special moment that clinches the tie in our favour or helps us compete more closely with Peterborough United. Whilst I acknowledge the league is far more important, the FA Cup gives us a good chance to bring in some extra revenue and many fans have wanted a good cup run for some time. So, I think whoever Stuart Maynard chooses will be good enough to give a good account of Notts.

I think we need to look at form also when deciding who to play, the return of injured players would most likely see the likes of Kellan Gordon fall out of the team. I really want him to do well, and shows Stuart Maynard we are better with him on the bench but as of late I haven't been all that impressed. Jacob Bedeau, Matty Platt, Alex Bass, Jodi Jones, Nick Tsaroulla, Matt Palmer, Dan Crowley, George Abbott and Jatta are all players I would try to fit into my selection if I were SM. The good thing is with returning players, and potential new signings it means that we should be able to keep the selections balanced. Fresh legs will be able to come in, so the rotation will be just as important as who starts.

It's good that our fortunes are changing, but there's no surprise that the club has seen such a high amount of defeats during the years. We have been around for a considerable long time, so I don't think the figure is something we should be disappointed about - it's just one of those strange facts we need to embrace. It's part of our history, and really it's just a reminder of how we hope to improve at the other end of the spectrum with wins.

Today, Kate's been out with her mum and Ellie to The Range. Unfortunately, when they got back they were told that her sister-in-law had broken her foot and that Kate's mum would need to fetch their kids. It doesn't sound very nice, but other than that and a few deliveries nothing much has happened. In other news, replacement parts for @super_ram's folding bed has arrived, and I am very keen to try to sort that. Just need to figure out where to get Goose Grease from.

When I didn't feel well as a child, Granny Pie would make me Ready Brek. I preferred baby oats, and she knew exactly how to make it right every time. I have found memories of having meals like potato, cheese and beans. Also, @super_ram would make me pasty shaped pies, with guess what in them? Cheese cubes, diced boiled potato and beans. Topped off with gravy when cooked. I haven't made them myself for a while, the last time I did - one of my children kept pinching them. I think it was @Dash_16k. I grew up quite the fussy eater, so I would mostly have the same things, but those are two of my fondest memories. To be perfectly honest, I preferred baking with GP. Birthdays, Christmas. The treats she would make were lovely, and there's no surprise I tended to focus on those more than actual meals. ????

In the early days of the Pride of Nottingham, I committed to writing regular newsletters, filled with articles and content from the site. Despite my efforts, the low subscriber engagement was discouraging. I wondered if perhaps my content wasn't resonating or if I was missing the mark somehow. Yet, these newsletters were among the first, predating the club's embrace of email marketing as a valuable tool. For me, the goal was always to inform members about news and encourage their participation on the site. Now, with some exciting projects on the horizon, I'm closer than ever to achieving realistic targets. The newsletters will provide a balanced insight into the site and news, featuring guest columnists sharing their perspectives. I am highly encouraged by this and hope the community receives them well.

Sounds like the League of FAI really needs to shape up. I do hope it gets the reform needed to thrive because the Irish leagues are a good area for EFL clubs to pick up talent. It would also benefit them as a nation having better talent, which a troubled financial system might cause problems within.

A few recommendations @ARLukomski: Kyle Joseph who is currently at Blackpool, he's a decent prospect and knows how to find the net. Whilst not the most prolific player, I do think someone as young as him would flourish given the chance in a team that plays to our style. He has plenty of EFL experience, decent cross and can either right or left of midfield. Although, he is 29 and Notts does tend to sign players a bit younger usually. Kyle Dempsey - Player profile 24/25 | Transfermarkt WWW.TRANSFERMARKT.CO.UK Anthony Forde, Jacob Mendy and Brandon Kavanagh would all be good fits for the club. These are players I am familiar with, Forde is a good player and Jacob Mendy at League Two level is a very good option in the attacking department. It would also make sense to link him with Jatta, then we would have two from The Gambia. It could quite possibly revive his international career. I would recommend having a look at the Dutch leagues, as with the fans' forum it does sound like we will be looking to recruit outside of the EFL.

I hesitated when @ARLukomski suggested it, but honestly it's a breath of fresh air. I spent some time in the early hours before I got some sleep reading, and I found myself wanting to create a personal account. I do like Threads, but the engagement on it is iffy at best, and there's a large amount of bot accounts. It's very similar to X in that regard, but Blue Sky I haven't had anything like it. Plus you can customise your feeds, and restrict what content you see such as nudity and the more full on variety. The thing is, if people keep at it. A Notts community there will flourish, and I think it's a lot safer than Elon Musks attempt at building himself a global platform which in-visions only what he thinks and sees. He's literally killed Twitter, and is verging on the point of ruining X. There was a bit of a period where Threads blossomed, but it quickly faded, and I just hope Blue Sky isn't one of those scenarios. BSky is a lot better for blocking and restricting content.

I thought it was a somewhat strange appointment when he arrived at Leicester, although I thought he was doing alright. Their fans never really seemed to take to him, mostly due to managing Forest. Being a part of certain Foxes groups, I tend to see on Facebook a lot of complaints and I think Leicester City winning the Premier League has made a lot of their fans believe they are a much bigger team. What they did that season was incredible, but what was a united community seems to have led to self-edification and reflections of unfounded glory. There was a lot of talk that they were a top 6 team after gaining promotion. I always thought they would be fighting off relegation, I hope their next appointment is someone who can just return the stability they need to establish themselves as a Premier League team.

I think we are a bit fortunate that we haven't drifted down the table a little with the defeat to Crewe and this past Saturday's draw, not that I think we have done badly at all. Yet I think we are riding the wave of injuries and tough games, which sooner or later, Notts will need to either try to see out games with more efforts on goal or find a bit of luck on the pitch instead of off it. We're quickly approaching a difficult period, so sooner or later we'll see how the season could pan out a little more clearer. If Notts are able to stay within the front-runners, which I don't think we will simply due to the fact we need a bit more quality in the finishing. I do feel very inclined that we'll still finish in the playoffs, and that is fair progress. It might not please everyone, but it should give us the foundation to be more ready for League One no matter what happens. There's every chance we could pull together, return to winning ways and build a strong bit of form. Yet, performance wise, if we don't score we do tend to see a bit of inconsistency. I'm not writing off the season, just updating my thoughts as I still believe January will be the point that will confirm - especially with potential signings if we will or not compete for a higher place.

Excellent work, George Abbott! If my memory serves me right, this is his second so far, so it's racking up - I am sure he will have a few more to his name come the end of the season.

I have no plans to abandon Twitter, at all. As the very first Notts fan and fan account to join Threads, I take great pride in this milestone. I realise that social media isn't going anywhere, but with fans making home to networks such as Blue Sky - I believe it warrants a PON account. This has been encouraged by @ARLukomski, which at first I wasn't all that taken to doing but in hindsight it does seem to be as equal to Threads. You can follow Pride of Nottingham on Blue Sky here. I openly acknowledge that the site, and social media channels have been quiet, but this is for personal reasons. I greatly appreciate your understanding. My aim is to ensure Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads and Blue Sky are all different in some form. Which I would also like to mention, that within the new year I plan to open a discord server that will be more for updating the community here on site related downtime, maintenance, articles, news etc. Due to the hacking incident, and even before that I am anxious about sharing sensitive information outright on social media channels.

Sponsors got it right today, in my eyes. George Abbott played incredibly well, relentless in winning the ball back, and with helping to attack. I called it about 5 minutes before he was named. Nick Tsaroulla and Matty Platt deserve special mentions.

One of my biggest regrets was not choosing to go with my real name. It took a few years for people not to call me Joe. TBH, I didn't see myself as becoming someone within the Notts community. I thought I would just keep to myself, and update the site which back then I had no idea about what worked. A local community is so much harder than any other site, but choosing "Notts-Joe" did confuse people. That was never my intention, but I do wish I had chosen my real name to begin with. TBH, there are many things with PON I would have done differently but isn't that part of the learning process? As for idiots on social media, we have both experienced them. I think if people really need to find something to take offence or to troll another person, then that says far more about them. In your case, some of those people were well known for being that way, it's a shame, as sometimes the community spirit within Notts was good, but they get distracted, turning themselves into online trolls. I can hold my hand up when wrong, something those types of people can't - they just go into hiding once sussed.

I'm thankful that I don't actually get the latter part. ????
