Automatic cars
I drive a manual car, but I believe that as we get older, it’s easier to switch to an automatic. I don’t want to sound rude. I would make the change myself because it would be more comfortable and makes driving simpler. Is that part of your reason for switching? Stick with it; it might take a few weeks, but once you’re used to it, you won’t notice the difference.

Stuart Maynard discusses transfers, squad depth, and Notts County's upcoming clash with Swindon Town in League Two
Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley are players who would be hard to replace, at least on a like-for-like basis. It's important that we don’t have to change our approach, as these two fit our system well. They will show their worth against Swindon, which is where we need to concentrate.

August Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
????????Jatta all the way! I think that, with time, Curtis Edwards and Matty Platt might get a mention in future polls.

Lou Macari at Notts last Thursday
Lou Macari will always be welcome down the lane. It's wonderful that he comes to watch his grandson. That must be a great support to Louis.

Dan & Jodi: Can Notts Keep Them?
There are two ways to look at it. You hope that Notts knows who to bring in and can act quickly if either or both do go. Or, they stay, and we manage to get extensions on them. Jodi Jones would be wise to remain at Notts. His form is very much based on being settled. Dan Crowley is the biggest concern. I won’t worry about either leaving, though.

Match Discussion: Game 3 - The Mariners (H)
Notts played some superb football. Some of the long-distance passing would have been fitting in the Championship. Curtis Edwards looks to have one hell of a pass on him. The number of long upfield passes he made put Grimsby on the back foot. I was more impressed with him than I was with Dan Crowley. Crowley had a great game but grew in confidence after his second goal. Edwards played exceptionally well throughout.

Geraldo Bajrami out for the season.
It’s harsh to speculate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if his injuries force him to retire. There’s only so many times you can suffer such injuries, and the more you do, the more damage is done. It’s horrible, but he had most of last season to recover. If it’s not the same knee, I would say it’s much worse. I hope it’s not the case, and I wish him well.

Match Report: Dan Crowley Double Seals Notts County's 4-1 Triumph Against Grimsby Town
Dan Crowley was on fire! His performance was nothing short of spectacular. He controlled the game with his skill and vision, making it difficult for Grimsby to keep up. The entire team played brilliantly, showing great teamwork and determination. Grimsby simply had no answers to our relentless attacks. This win has boosted our confidence, and I am excited for the upcoming matches. If we continue to play like this, we have a great chance of achieving our goals this season.

Curtis Edwards Reflects on Impressive Notts County Victory and His Role Moving Forward
It’s so good to see Curtis Edwards bounce back after the errors he made in the cup match. His performance against Grimsby was top-notch, and he was everywhere on the pitch. He showed great resilience and determination, proving that he can learn from his mistakes and come back stronger. His passing was precise, and he made several crucial tackles. This kind of performance is exactly what we need from him, and I am excited to see what he will do next. If he continues to play like this, he will be a key player for us this season.

Vlog: ARLukomski - Late Drama at Meadow Lane as Notts County Rescue a Point
Absolutely thrilled with the way Notts played, especially in the second half. Fleetwood set the tone early on, but our boys didn't let their heads drop. Jatta's goal was perfectly timed to reignite hope, and we rode that wave of momentum right to the end. The penalty was nerve-wracking, but fair play to Jodi Jones for keeping his composure under immense pressure. @ARLukomskii’s vlog does justice to the rollercoaster of emotions experienced during the match.

Match Preview: Magpies Target Early Season Win Against Fleetwood Town
As we approach our match against Fleetwood Town, there's a lot riding on this game for Notts County. The team showed resilience with a draw against Tranmere Rovers but then faltered in the League Cup. This inconsistency needs addressing if we want to challenge higher up the table. Fleetwood is no pushover, especially with their strong start, but home advantage at Meadow Lane could be key. I'm particularly eager to see how Alex Bass performs in goal, he’s been a standout so far. Our defence needs to be on alert, especially from set-pieces. Let's create an electric atmosphere and cheer the lads to victory.

Cup Competitions: Should Clubs Take Them Seriously?
Some teams don’t take it seriously, which is a shame, but I don’t think Notts are one of these. I think we played a good Shrewsbury side that adjusted to our play and became more attacking-minded after the first half had concluded. I wished we could have made the second round, but we lost on penalties. The starting lineup may have seemed weak on paper, but give them credit for the impressive first-half performance. We narrowly lost on penalties. Roll on the FA Cup.

Notts County Mobile App
It’s a good app when it works. I can’t complain too much because only the video section doesn’t seem to want to work. I haven’t seen any updates, but I am hoping in time it will be fixed.

Managing Expectations with Notts
I would love promotion, but I won’t let that come at the cost of being unrealistic. I think we have a good squad, one which needs to settle. It could be good enough for League One, with some further additions to the team, but even if we fall out of the playoff spots, I am happy with the way the club is progressing. The way things are, we can build and become stronger. Once we are strong enough, I am sure promotion will come. It might not be this season, it might not be the next, but if we keep pushing and growing, it will happen. I try to enjoy the football more than anything.

Match Discussion: League Cup - The Shrews (A)
I understand the frustration with conceding two goals and then a third, which puts Notts on the back foot, needing a late equaliser even after dominating the first half with a good showing. Jatta coming on and getting the goal needed to go to penalties is a plus. I am glad he has got his first goal; he just needs one in the league now. I am not that disappointed; I think the three changes came at the wrong time. I don’t think Stuart Maynard did it to throw the game; I believe he wanted to give players more minutes on the pitch. It might have made sense to bring on Alex Bass, as Sam Slocombe did seem to struggle with the pressure and how the Notts defence went. It made more sense to consider this.

Opposition View: How Fleetwood Town’s New Signings Could Impact the Notts County Game
Reading about Fleetwood’s pre-season and new acquisitions, particularly Mark Helm, makes it clear they’re a team reborn. Their quest for a striker seems to be the final piece of their puzzle, and once addressed, they’ll likely be even more formidable. Facing Notts, they’re likely to be brimming with confidence, especially after their recent cup win. For Notts, it’s about rediscovering our form and ensuring that every player contributes effectively. The match will indeed demand a lot from us tactically and mentally. Let’s hope our squad lives up to the challenge and delivers a performance worthy of our expectations.

Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Notts County: Magpies Dominate Possession but Settle for a Point at Prenton Park
We dominated the possession, but need to be more clinical upfront. Still, a promising start!

An Introduction To Ryley Reynolds
With a bit of luck, he’ll keep getting playing time and have some involvement throughout the season. That’s the most effective way to help a young player develop. Reynolds does seem to be a very promising young talent.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Minstermen (A)
Numerous alterations were made around the 70th minute, but there’s no cause for concern. It’s pre-season, and the players are still getting into their stride. Kudos to York for their comeback, but I’d be content with a draw in a friendly match any day. Has there been any update on why Dan Crowley was taken off? How severe is his injury?

Weekday Chat Monday 22nd - Thursday 25th July
I woke up at half past six in the morning, followed by a swift exercise session. After that, I had my breakfast. Before stepping out of the house, I took a shower and completed the usual routines. My work began at half past eight. It started with a brief meeting, which was then followed by several other meetings. Around one in the afternoon, I had my lunch. I enjoyed a homemade salad and a sandwich. After lunch, I resumed my work until about half past five in the evening. Once I got home, I watched some television to relax a bit. And now, here I am. ????
