Where are they now : Greg Abbott
Greg Abbott always seemed like a good assistant to me, with a knack for spotting talent. Maybe not quite managerial material, but a nice guy.

Notts County Secure Dynamic Attacker Jevani Brown for Season-Long Loan
I hope he can focus on his performance. It is not the most exciting signing, but we must give him a chance. He seems like a good player. In the right team, he might play better. We needed more players in this area. His ability to play in different positions will help Notts.

Transfer Deadline Day
I hope we can keep the players that the club think are part of Notts' future. I'm not worried about losing any key players, but it's important that we make sure the squad has enough depth to handle the demands of the season. With plenty of games, players will get minutes, and maintaining good performance will lead to better form. I don't mind Notts using the loan system to improve the squad.

Where are they now : Paul Hart
Enjoy your retirement, Paul Hart. It's nice to be able to spend time doing what you want, so don't rush back to the game. Enjoy the freedom that comes without any work pressure.

Jodi Jones: Players Player Of The Year.
Jodi Jones is an incredible talent. I'm sure he still has ambitions of playing at a higher level, but I hope he can achieve that with Notts. His current form looks good enough to give him a chance of being considered for this again.

Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Robins (A)
Don't worry too much about the recent games as it's still early. Swindon Town are playing at home, and the County Ground is a tough place to visit. They have beaten us when we thought it would be easier, so I think it's all about managing the game and taking our chances. Notts has the players to be clinical in front of goal. It should be an exciting game if we continue with our recent performances.

Welcome To Notts George Abbott
He seems like a very promising young player. I like his attitude and desire to just play football. Defensively, he sounds like a good addition, so I'm pleased to welcome George Abbott.

George Abbott Excited for New Chapter at Notts County: "It's a Good Opportunity" Says Tottenham Hotspur's Young Midfielder
Abbott's transition to League Two football should be seamless, thanks to his positive attitude and willingness to adapt. It’s commendable that he’s done his homework on Notts County and appreciates the support from our substantial fan base. His background at Tottenham has equipped him well, and it’s good to know that our style of play won’t demand too much adjustment from him. George's enthusiasm and adaptability will be crucial as he aims to showcase his talents. I’m particularly impressed by his ambition to gain first-team experience and his strategic approach to development, including looking towards England’s Under-20 squad. Excited to see his contributions on the field soon.

Sharing the Love for Notts
When I was a kid, it was normal for families to support both Nottingham teams. My father and his family would often go to whichever team was at home. I wasn’t interested in the other team, so I found Notts to be more suited to me. That’s how most of my family ended up. Forest became quite violent, whereas Notts was seen as a much more family-oriented club. My grandchildren aren’t Notts fans, but my own children grew up supporting the club.

Transfer Rumours : Cedwyn Scott
The problem with rumors is that there’s often no way to validate them. However, I think this one can be dismissed. It doesn’t look real. It’s not an account related to League Two. It reads like a general account that isn’t serious about reporting transfer news.

August Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
I would vote for Jodi Jones, but I think it’s fairer to choose Dan Crowley. He might have been quiet initially, but he’s been more consistent in my opinion.

Opposition View: Swindon Town Fan Lee Witts' Honest Analysis Ahead of Notts County Match
Lee has answered the questions very well. I think the game will be closer. I can’t imagine either team will embarrass the other. I don’t expect Notts to play like they did against Grimsby. A good away performance would be nice. It would be good to keep a clean sheet, but I don’t see why either team wouldn’t score. It’s a difficult place to win.

Sven-Göran Eriksson: A Legacy Remembered at Notts County
Sven-Göran Eriksson’s tenure at Notts County was short but left a lasting impression. His arrival brought unprecedented attention to the club and instilled hope among the fans. Despite facing financial turmoil, Eriksson's leadership was pivotal in ensuring Notts County's promotion to League One. His selfless act of waiving a substantial payoff to facilitate a takeover by new owners demonstrated his dedication and love for the club. His influence extended beyond the boardroom into the hearts of many supporters, making his legacy a cherished part of Notts County’s history.

Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC
He’s a bit smug at times. I don’t like him as a pundit either, but I could watch him hosting or as a presenter, despite there being better people for those jobs. I don’t want to comment on his sacking.
-
Alassana Jatta: In The Goals.
He works hard and is a much different striker than Macaulay Langstaff, which isn’t a knock. Although some of his goals are tap-ins, that’s a sign of his ability to read the game and how play can open up. It’s not a bad thing in my eyes.

Salford's Matt Smith announces retirement
Good luck to him in his retirement. I’m surprised to see this just three games into the season.

Stuart Maynard Hails 'Incredible' Notts County Performance After Grimsby Town Triumph
Maynard and his team deserve massive praise for this incredible win. The tactics were spot on and the intensity shown from the kickoff was brilliant. Dan Crowley, what a player! His performance was deserving of all the accolades. The defence, despite the late goal, showed some real grit and determination. The fans' support through thick and thin has been amazing and it's great to see the team giving back with performances like this. We need to be consistent, as Maynard rightly pointed out. A fantastic night at Meadow Lane and fingers crossed, many more to come this season.

Match Report: Notts County Fall in Dramatic Penalty Shootout After Six-Goal Thriller Against Shrewsbury Town
It simply wasn’t to be. I think we can go into our next league game with more confidence. While I would have loved to see another clean sheet, defensively, we can see there are still improvements. In a league game, it might be different. I think it’s sometimes hard for players coming on to match the standard of performance of those already involved. Yes, I am disappointed we didn’t win. We could have made the second round via penalties, but I won’t let it change the good feeling we have after Tranmere.

Will Swan to Notts?
He could be a good player for us. The club is probably thinking about who they might be able to attract. If Will Swan isn’t getting game time, it could make the move likely. I don’t know much about him, other than that he was in good form and everyone was talking about him at Mansfield.

Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Notts County: Magpies Dominate Possession but Settle for a Point at Prenton Park
I am not downhearted. I think it was a spirited performance, and Notts looked very composed at the back. Going forward, all it takes is for one clever moment to open up the play, but I am encouraged by the display.

Notts Alumni: Jeff Astle
Jeff Astle will always be remembered for his heading and goal-scoring ability. He’s a legend of the lane, not just at The Hawthorns. It’s great to read this. I really enjoyed it and found it to be an excellent return for the Alumni series. Jeff would be thankful that there’s content like this continuing his incredible legacy.
