Throughout the various seasons, PON has made significant progress. Despite the turmoil both on and off the pitch, this has been a pleasant place to visit and discuss Notts. The content produced is also of high quality. I appreciate that it’s a substantial undertaking for the team.

Also, it’s all a matter of ‘maybe’, so I think we just need to rein in our excitement and take things as they come. If Macaulay Langstaff departs and Will Evans is brought in as his replacement, that would be a sensible move. But first, we need to take a step back and assess things as they occur. For now, I’m treating it as speculation.

I'm truly happy to see Notts County investing in Meadow Lane. The improvements, a modern drainage system, a hybrid SIS pitch, and potential for undersoil heating, are all incredible steps forward. David McGoldrick might not even be guaranteed a spot, and considering his wages, which I presume would be among the highest, I think we should steer clear of another attacking midfielder. If necessary, James Sanderson should be given the opportunity to start, as that’s the only way he’ll improve. Honestly, I’d prefer to start Jr Morias ahead of Didzy. He had a fantastic start to last season, but his performance declined afterwards. I’d readily reserve him as a substitute to bring on for impact. Cedwyn Scott should be chosen over him, or occasionally Jr Morias. Apart from that, I think the squad is shaping up nicely.

Yes, it’s the performance and tactics that are preventing England from advancing. The start has been disappointing, but the talent is definitely there. I’d imagine Gareth Southgate has been addressing this in training, so I’m hopeful we’ll see improvements on Tuesday night.

The interview with Stuart Maynard is quite good. He appears to be very content, and the additional time given to him should yield positive results. I hope fans will be understanding if the start is slower than anticipated. As long as we improve and all the new signings gel well together, Notts stands a good chance of being promoted this season. For some reason, I thought this was his last year with us. Given this, I don’t see why there’s any concern about Macaualay Langstaff leaving. With two years left on his contract, there’s ample time to secure a higher fee from potential suitors. Even if Notts were to wait until the final year, as long as he continues to score and clubs show interest, he will command a fee. I hope he stays long enough to break Sir Les Bradd’s all-time record. While it would be a bittersweet day for Les, I’m sure he’d be pleased to see someone surpass his record one day.
