Luke Williams on Notts County’s Win: ‘Energy and Aggression Were Back’
Dan Crowley played a crucial role, and David McGoldrick also deserves a lot of credit for his tireless work to overcome the early setback. I don’t think Sam Slocombe or many other goalkeepers could have done anything about Adam Campbell’s well-aimed shot. It was just too well hit, but our goals were just as impressive, I believe.

Notts County’s Coach Luke Williams on Adam Chicksen: ‘He Brings So Much Intensity to the Team’
It’s great to have Adam Chicksen back, but it’s difficult to know where he’ll fit in and when Luke Williams will give him the time to settle in. Out wide, he poses a good threat and adds another potential scorer to our team. In defence, he can do the job, but in my opinion, he’s less effective.

Wimbledon v Notts .... unwanted fact for today
Is our record against them really this poor? We missed an opportunity to set things right at the weekend. I don’t want to see us lose after conceding four goals to them anytime soon. I hope we thrash them at Meadow Lane.

Match Discussion: Game 20 - The Red Devils (H)
I don’t think we need to worry. I believe we’ll win some, lose others, and draw elsewhere. I just hope we can regain our form because when we’re on a winning or undefeated streak, we seem to be a completely different team. We could be better defensively, but that’s lower league English football for you. Crawley is a decent team at this level, but I don’t fear any team at home.

RIP Terry Venables
Rest in Peace, Terry Venables. I’m saddened as well, but he lived a good life and should be remembered for his achievements.

Mark Stallard’s Take: ‘Lack of Inspiration’ Plagues Notts County’s Play
Mark Stallard makes a valid point, and I don’t think he’s far off. It all comes down to having a true leader in defence. This could make a significant difference, just like the signing of Aden Baldwin did. If we can achieve this in January, we may see improvements. But even if we don’t, we should still be strong enough for at least the playoffs.

Luke Williams’ Take on Notts County’s Defeat: A Lesson in Transparency
Notts let me down yesterday, but they redeemed themselves with the comeback. For a short while, I think we showed AFC Wimbledon why we’re a strong team at this level. If Crowley hadn’t handed them their second penalty, I believe we could have secured a point and possibly even snatched a win.

Notts Alumni: Ben Davies
When we were relegated from League Two and he was available as a free agent, I had hoped he would return to Meadow Lane. I still believe he could have been a significant asset for us, serving as a mentor for others. The 09/10 season, up until the point he left for Derby, was one of the most enjoyable periods I’ve had supporting the club. It feels like those times now, but it’s easier to embrace because there’s no off-field drama.

John Bostock on the Uniqueness of Notts County: A Blend of Leadership, Vision, and History
It demonstrates what it’s like to work for a manager who not only participates in training but also knows how to bring out the best in players in a clear and practical way. I believe most fans feel fortunate to have John Bostock as part of our team.

Luke Williams on Notts County’s Game Plan Against AFC Wimbledon
Sensible remarks from the Notts manager. I believe Luke Williams is aware that teams are still getting used to the league table and any one of them can hit a rough patch due to the schedule. In my view, AFC Wimbledon is a team we ought to defeat, but a squad’s strength alone doesn’t guarantee victories. Williams understands that we need to enter the match well-prepared to achieve the best result. I reckon he’s absolutely right.

Dan Crowley on Notts County: ‘I Love Playing Here, It’s the Best Time I’ve Had Playing Football’
He’s been fantastic and we’re truly fortunate to have a player of his calibre here at Notts. Observing him both at home and away games, he has a unique bond with Meadow Lane where he flourishes due to the support. He’s been instrumental throughout the season in bringing out the best in his teammates. Success requires players who take pleasure in their football. I’m glad he’s content here, as I’m relishing his on-field performances.

The state of Russia today
It’s admirable, but is it worth sacrificing seven years of your life, knowing that protesting the war or opposing Putin can lead to severe consequences or even worse? There have been instances where people have been sentenced to death for protesting against Putin, and opposition candidates have been unjustly imprisoned. It seems more logical to either leave the country or start a revolution. However, Russians are generally not known for taking such actions.

Luke Williams calls for more respect for Dan Crowley
Are we even certain that a Notts fan started this? I haven’t read the article, but I listened to the press conference and I’m somewhat puzzled as to why anyone would be so small-minded as to attack someone because of their beliefs.

[November] Nominations for the Member of the Month and Team Member of the Month
My choice for the member of the month would be @Piethagoram. In terms of team members, I’d pick @DangerousSausage. No one will be bothered by this, it’s just a bit of fun and part of it is about making people feel appreciated. We have a large number of members, so appreciation will always be shown. This isn’t a competition, much like the leaderboard isn’t taken too seriously.

Why we should sign Macari permanently .....
I think we should sign him. If the club can agree on terms that suit both parties, he would be a great addition. I wouldn’t worry about his current game time, as he will naturally improve. He shows a lot of potential. The most important thing for me is his age; he can develop further into the player we need. Having a good set of defenders around him will aid his development. However, I would still welcome an experienced player in January.

Safe standing at Meadow Lane?
I’m not concerned about standing. I do stand at some away games, but I don’t think I could commit to standing for a whole season at home. It would depend on whether the area has folding seats, which would be a nice feature. You know, the ones you lean on that save space but offer something to sit on.

New bar in kop
The bar is a great idea, and I agree that the profits should be reinvested into the club. Notts should collaborate more with the Magpie Brewery to offer drinks outside of their beverage partner, if possible.

Match Discussion: Game 19 - The Wombles (A)
Predicting our play away from home is difficult as we’ve been inconsistent. It largely depends on how we start. If we start well, the game should be entertaining with opportunities. But if we start slowly or AFC Wimbledon dominate possession, it could be frustrating. I don’t think it will be easy, but we have a strong midfield that just needs to create opportunities for Macaulay Langstaff and David McGoldrick.

Dan Crowley on Notts County’s Performance: Brilliance, Blitz, and Room for Improvement
He performed brilliantly and would be my pick for Man of the Match. He’s similar to Matt Palmer in how he just gets on with the game. Dan Crowley was a handful for Bradford in the first half, and in the second half, he had moments of brilliance that opened up the play. However, everyone’s performance started to drop, which is natural when you’re leading 4-0. It’s more about concentration and game management.

Match Discussion: Game 14 - The Gills (A)
It's going to be a tough match, Gillingham have recruited well in the summer and they aren't easily defeated, but there have been some unexpected results. I believe that regardless of the outcome on Saturday, they will be one of the teams vying for promotion. At present, I'm uncertain how Luke Williams can orchestrate a win, as it seems to me that the match is likely to end in a draw. I hope I'm mistaken, we do have a lot of talent and there are potential game-changers throughout the team, but our form is slightly more worrying than theirs. The fact that they are playing at home and capable of causing problems is the tricky part. Notts must remain resilient and improve their defence, otherwise I can see it being like the Colchester match where we have to equalise to secure a draw or something more challenging.
