  1. It’s not Frank Vincent or John Bostock, although both are excellent guesses based on the limited information provided in the first clue. The second clue: He is now a manager. The first four teams he played for have a very interesting pattern that was only broken after he signed from one London club to another.
  2. Great articles, lads! It’s wonderful to see @TheSkipper featured and the return of the Notts Alumni articles.
  3. Notts has had a successful run during the conference years, performing well in their first season. Some fans may have had changing expectations due to the arrival of the Reedtz and the possibility of increased spending. However, it’s important to note that both the Reedtz and the club as a whole needed time to adjust. Finishing in the playoffs has been a great achievement and could serve as a hallmark of the club’s success. The two appearances at Wembley were incredible experiences, and it’s unfortunate that fans were unable to attend due to COVID restrictions. Achieving promotion within four seasons is a respectable accomplishment!
  4. This is signs of a top, top player. Langstaff’s performance is nothing short of amazing. He has consistently delivered outstanding performances on the field, showing incredible skill and precision. His talent and dedication are truly admirable, and he has proven himself to be a top-tier player.
  5. Don’t worry, this time I’ve been much more careful, but there’s still enough information for some guesses to be made. Once I receive two guesses or any questions, I’ll follow up.
  6. Jonathan Forte had an incredible ability to find the back of the net. He was a natural goal scorer with a keen eye for finding the perfect shot. His talent for scoring goals was matched only by his passion for the game, and he always gave his all for the team. Forte’s time at Notts County was filled with plenty of good memories, as he consistently delivered top-notch performances on the pitch. He was a true asset to the team and his contributions will never be forgotten.
  7. Hello @Fan of Big Tone, the objective of this game is to discover the identity of a former Notts player or manager. Indeed, this individual did play for Notts.
  8. Sorry about that! Earlier, I thought I had sent this message but it appears it was left unsent on my screen. Now it’s finally here. I’ll wait for a few questions before revealing anything in great detail. I’m aiming for 3 to 4 rounds of accurate guesses! Round 8: Clue: He came from London, but he wandered far and wide. He played in many places, but he never stayed for long. Who is he?
  9. Based on our squad, I believe we could make the playoffs, but we might also end up mid-table. Our squad needs to learn how to compete against professional teams with better overall squads. I hope we can secure points against teams we’re expected to beat. I’m not setting my expectations too high and will support the club regardless of the outcome.
  10. 50,000 - wow! At first, I thought it might be more, but after thinking about it, it seems about right. I hope it’s against a good team so that the club can make a day of it and try to set a League Two attendance record. I’m not sure what that record is, but it sounds nice!
  11. Jodi Jones has proven to be an invaluable addition to Notts and it would be fantastic if he were to sign a permanent contract with the club.
  12. Yes, you’re right. The answer is Tony Hateley in honour of your return. I shouldn’t have mentioned that he played for a different Birmingham-based club. ???? Points Table @Fozzy - 3 @Fan of Big Tone - 1 @KB1862 - 1 @super_ram- 1 Round 7, will be teased at 6:30pm tomorrow.
  13. No, he didn't begin his career at Wolverhampton. However, after leaving Notts, he did play for another club in Birmingham. His footballing CV is quite impressive and he was quite stylish in his day, resembling a popstar. He started his career with Notts. @Chris, @KB1862, @Fan of Big Tone, @super_ram, @Fozzy, @ExiledPie
  14. Since arriving at our club, I agree, Matt Palmer has been paramount to our success. I am also unsure, if you remove him from the line-up, the formation and instructions of Luke Williams simply would work as well.
  15. No, it’s not Lee Hughes. Unfortunately, that is correct. Chris is also correct in saying that I wouldn’t use a player again so soon. Although it may be mischievous, it could be a good idea.
  16. Round six: Clue - This lethal finisher began his career with a Midlands club and rapidly made a name for himself as a formidable goalscorer. He’s not the β€œRay Trew” prolific type, but rather a true master of finding the back of the net. Good luck! @super_ram, @TheSkipper, @Chris, @Dripsey3, @liampie, @allardyces tash, @KB1862, @Fan of Big Tone, @yelobeli, @Piethagoram, @Canadian, @DangerousSausage, @Megan_Elizax, @upthepies, @thommo, @Carlton, @themightymagpies, @4everapie, @NCRichie, @Joshua, @lambleypie, @Countyman, @ARLukomski, @gtownjohnno, @MuddyPatchPie, @eighteensixtytwo, @BESTpie, @B&Wstripes and @Richo.
  17. The video is excellent and it’s great to see the game from a fan’s perspective. It really adds a personal touch to the experience.
  18. It’s great to see the owners expressing their gratitude towards the club’s staff and acknowledging their hard work. The renovations on the Meadow Lane playing surface and the installation of a new PA system are exciting developments for the club.
  19. My focus is on becoming a strong League Two team. While it’s tempting to discuss the possibility of achieving promotion in our first season back, I believe it would be more advantageous to concentrate on building towards that goal. This approach increases the likelihood of us remaining a League One team without slipping back down.
  20. I’m so proud of our team for their impressive run in the National League and for enduring a challenging play-off campaign to secure their place in League Two.
  21. Aaron Nemane was outstanding at Wembley. His confidence is growing and he’s a quick, skilful player who finds space to exploit. I love watching him tease and take on the opposition; they struggle to keep up with him and it often results in bookings!
  22. The future looks bright for Notts County. With a talented squad, a great manager, and smart recruitment, there’s no reason why we can’t push for promotion again in League Two. Let’s keep this momentum going!
  23. Great pictures! @Chris. I am pleased, that you managed to still do the Faces of PON.
  24. Notts County's victory over Chesterfield on penalties to clinch promotion at Wembley is a special memory. The lads should be proud to have gotten us across the line and back into the Football League. It was a hard-fought battle and their determination and skill paid off in the end. Well done to all involved!
  25. @Piethagoram, thank you for all the effort you have put in. It’s very well deserved! Your username is now cemented into the Pride of Nottingham, alongside Macaulay Langstaff, Matt Palmer and John Bostock. Now that’s something!
