Oxford appoint new head coach
Was there really ever any doubt about Luke Williams remaining at Notts?

Defensive howler by Chester at York City
In the early 70's an opposition defender, on the left side of the Baseball Ground pitch and facing away away from his goal, sliced a clearance that ballooned into the air and forced his own goalkeeper to desperately scramble back to stop the ball going into his own net.The name of that defender was Robert Moore.Yes,the same Bobby Moore who captained England in the 1966 Word Cup finals.I saw him play quite a few times and his poise and unflappability stood out.So it just shows that these laughable episodes can and do happen to the best.

Thanks @Fan of Big Tone I am feeling a bit better. The worst part is the feeling of having my batteries taken out or my power supply turned off.I can put up with the aches and pains but the sudden tiredness was a different matter.I hope your grandsons make a speedy recovery.- Wordle
and @Ohh Tommy Johnson Still aching all over but not struggling to keep warm now and stomach feels settled too.Whatever bug it is came on completely out of the blue, one minute I'm on top of the world and then suddenly can hardly stay awake or concentrate. Oh and @Piethagoram nothing to do with last nights result and your comment made me smile(you little tinker) Thanks for your concern- Wordle
One thing I've learnt over the years, being a Rams fan and also following the fortunes(and misfortunes) of Notts, is that life can be very Crewel at times- Wordle

I have tried a few of the'different' beers and find most drinkable but mildly disappointing.I do like to try different brewery beers when I get the chance though. I watched the Remembrance Sunday programme on telly, which brought back memories of watching the parades in Alfreton with my dad many ,many years ago. Not exactly a trouncing @Fan of Big Tone but at least a good result. I do wish referees would clamp down on all the pushing and pulling at corner kicks and free kicks though.Even the commentators seem to condone some of it. Apart from the result at Crewe a very good weekend!- Wordle

Wordle 875 2/6 ⬜????????????⬜ ???????????????????? Whoo whoo,2 today @Fan of Big Tone- Caramac production ends as Nestle closes Newcastle factory
I've never been one much for chocolates or sweets.I do very occasionally have a Crunchie, Mars bar or Cadbury chocolate or similar and to be honest I don't even recall, Caramac so doesn't even bother me..- Luke Williams Anticipates Tough Encounter Against In-Form Crewe Alexandra
I hope Notts win and maintain the place near the top of League 2.I also hope that Crewe are softened up a bit for my team's FA Cup replay on Tuesday- Lampard for Oxford United???
Lampard was The Rams manager for the 2018/19 season. His first game was at Meadow Lane where I witnessed the pre season friendly which ended 4-1 to my team.He brought in several high profile loans in Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea, who was voted Derby's player of that season(now playing for AC Milan),Harry Wilson from Liverpool(Now playing for Fulham and Wales in the Prem) and also from Chelsea ,Mason Mount (now playing for Man Utd and England) He undoubtedly acquired these loanees due to his connection with Chelsea and also Steven Gerrard at Liverpool..Derby finished the season in 6th place, same as the previous season but with 74 points ,one fewer than previous season..A notable victory during his tenure was in the EFL cup when beating Man Utd at Old Trafford in a penalty shootout. He did get us to the Championship play off final but lost to 2- 1 to Villa. So to summarise, after losing the returning loanees at the end of the season,Derby ended one point fewer and still in The Championship.Considering the backing he got from Derby and help from connections he actually took Derby backwards.Yes, @Piethagoram he was a FAILURE.He didn't do much in his subsequent positions as manager either. It seems a reputation as a player goes a long way beyond playing days. @Fan of Big Tone I hope that answers your question and I didn't even mention his dithering with the open secret of him leaving to manage Chelsea.- Weekend Plans - 10th -12th November
Banana bread beer? Sounds like a sequel to Peter Kay's " GARLIC BREAD" rant.I have seen this but declined as it doesn't appeal to my taste buds. Please let me know your verdict @Fan of Big Tone. Nothing much else planned other than the usual Saturday morning visit to my local mini market and then it's Rams v Barnsley and hopefully some points on the Prediction League(thank you very much @DangerousSausage.He says through gritted teeth! - Wordle
