  1. It should be a good friendly and test for our Notts squad. Both teams are making improvements to their respective teams, so previous games won’t be the same. I have found past games to be unreliable in friendlies. Besides, it all depends on what the manager wants.
  2. I have been relaxing. I haven’t done much and am listening to the advice I have been given. @Fan of Big Tone, I am sorry to read about your wife but am thankful that she has been given the right care. Heart problems are scary! You must have been worried sick. I am glad there are people here who clearly care about you. Hopefully, once a pacemaker is fitted, things will return to somewhat normality. Thank you for having the confidence to share your unfortunate news with us.
  3. If guilty, he should be ashamed of it and admit that he did it. I think the chances are quite high that he may have done it, mainly as I see no point why he would not.
  4. I managed to see Jake Reeves play a few times during televised games, and he seemed very calm on the ball. Matt Palmer does seem like a massive upgrade. With this said, I wish AFC Wimbledon all the best.
  5. I remember the sending off and thinking it was very softly given, but aside from that, nothing. He doesn’t appear to have done much since.
  6. I like how the club offered early bird renewals. That brings in a good amount of cash which can be put to various departments to stretch the club’s resources further. I don’t remember where I read it, but I saw that 4,000 renewals had been reached or near to that amount. Impressive! A reward like 3 bring-a-friend tickets per season ticket would be a good way to reward loyalty at no cost to the club. Then fans can try to get friends, neighbours or family down. That action alone could be enough to tempt people to come.
  7. To achieve back-to-back promotions once is an amazing feat! To do it a further two times is simply unheard of. I am glad that they have managed to retain at least one player from those days. What a journey for Luton Town fans. They truly are the Hatters!
  8. Being an exiled fan can be tough, especially when it comes to keeping up to date with Notts County. That's where fan sites come in. They can help keep us involved, allow us to stay connected with the club and other supporters, and even help us feel like we're part of the action. One important aspect of any fan site is the range of content it offers. From match reports and highlights to interviews, player profiles, and transfer news, having a diverse selection of material can make all the difference. The continuous flow of content has the power to evoke feelings of excitement, anticipation, and insight that can take us directly into the action and keep us feeling part of the club. That's why the Pride of Nottingham is such a fantastic resource for Notts County fans. Not only is it packed with informative content to keep us informed of everything happening with the team, but its vibrant community connects supporters and keeps the passion of fans burning, fostering positive vibes across the club, the community, and beyond. From opinion pieces to in-depth features, the Pride of Nottingham delivers a comprehensive fan experience. Even better, its social media accounts, particularly Twitter, offer a live feed of Notts County news and opinions, making sure that fans who can't physically attend matches are never disconnected from the pulse of the club. Ultimately, the Pride of Nottingham can make a major difference to Notts County fans who find themselves on the other side of the world or simply too far from home to make it to games. It can help keep us cheered up with articles, features, interviews, videos and forum discussions, that offer an opportunity to share our support and love for the club with a community who shares our passion. For that, we can be most grateful. Here's to the wonderful team behind the Pride of Nottingham!
  9. The majority of his teammates stopped playing football altogether, including the young chap who transferred to Mansfield. As for the whereabouts of Nathan Fox, I am not too sure. I didn't get a chance to observe Greg Tempest sufficiently to have much to say about him, only having viewed his highlights.
  10. Upon moving to America, I neglected to bring any records or music collection with me. Having had a significant assortment, some of which I inherited from my father, I now wish I had held onto them. Lacking any dedicated entertainment system for music, I never saw a need for one. Currently, the only items in my home that possess speakers are my laptop, phone, and radio.
  11. As Sutton's leading joint goal scorer, we can see that this player possesses the ability to score, making this signing an excellent addition which will align with Notts County's ambitions and facilitate progress in League Two. This development brings me great joy.
  12. As Sutton's leading joint goal-scorer, it is evident that we have a talented player capable of scoring. This acquisition seems poised to solidify Notts' aspirations and enable them to progress in League Two. I am immensely pleased with this development.
  13. I don't play FIFA, but I am happy to vote or act as a judge in order to help choose the winner.
  14. Congratulations to Macaulay Langstaff for winning yet another award! If the National League and Non League paper did more awards, he would surely be in for a lot more. Keep up the great work!
  15. Welcome to the jungle! I hope you enjoy and find PON to be somewhere you can discuss Notts.
  16. Regarding Joel Taylor, I can understand your frustration. It is always disappointing when a promising player moves down a level instead of up. However, sometimes players need to make a lateral move to guarantee game time and further their development. I hope that Taylor can use his time at Chester to continue to grow and improve as a player and ultimately move back up to higher levels of football in the future.
  17. I also appreciate Dortmund's approach to recruitment and player development. Their focus on young, talented players has worked well for them in the past, and it is great to see a club actively investing in youth development. As for German football, I find it incredibly thrilling and impressive. The high tempo and intensity of the matches, combined with tactical prowess, make for a fantastic watching experience.
  18. I completely agree with you regarding Ricardo Moniz. It is unfortunate how managers often don't get enough time to prove themselves in football these days. It can take time to build a successful team, and continuity is key to achieving this. If given the right support and time, Moniz could bring a lot of success to a club.
  19. Looking towards Truro, it will be intriguing to see how they fare this season. It is important to remember that success is not just about winning games but also about passion and desire. It is clear that the owners of Truro have this in spades, and this should be commended rather than mocked. Passion and determination are essential to all football clubs, and it will be interesting to see how Truro's drive and enthusiasm translate onto the pitch.
  20. Rawlinson has undoubtedly added strength to the defence, and this will no doubt pay dividends as the season progresses. As many have noted, maintaining a solid backline is key to success, and Rawlinson's experience and ability will certainly help in achieving this. It is also encouraging to see support for Connell, who undoubtedly needs additional support to thrive on the pitch. It is crucial to remember that football is a team sport, and individual players can only do so much without the backing of their teammates.
  21. This letter is truly brilliant and highlights a crucial aspect of football that is often overlooked. While winning big games is undoubtedly an essential part of the sport, it is equally important to be part of a club that embraces the community. Football has the power to bring people together and create a sense of unity among fans, players, and staff. It is heartening to see that there are clubs that place equal importance on both winning games and promoting community involvement. After all, football is not just a game; it is a cultural and social phenomenon that transcends national boundaries and brings people from all walks of life together. Therefore, it is vital to recognize the role that football clubs play in fostering a sense of community and to celebrate their efforts in this area.
  22. Their hard work and determination throughout the season have paid off, and it is always exciting to see a team move up to a higher league. We wish Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, and Carlisle all the best in their future endeavors, and we look forward to seeing their success in the upcoming seasons. Lastly, we would also like to commend all the teams that participated in the previous season for their dedication and commitment to their sport, even in challenging times.
  23. Congratulations are in order for Sheffield Wednesday and Josh Windass for achieving promotion. It is always pleasing to see a team return to a higher league, especially after a relatively short hiatus. Their success speaks volumes about the team's hard work and dedication, and it is commendable to see that their efforts have been rewarded with a promotion. With regards to Derby County, it would be fantastic for their supporters to see them go up in the next season @super_ram. While promotion is always a challenging goal to achieve, especially in competitive leagues, it is not beyond the realm of possibility with the right mindset, strategy, and team effort.
  24. It is intriguing to learn from Leigh Curtis that Derby County have been scouting the Non-League scene, particularly casting an eye over the talented Ruben Rodrigues. While it may not come as a complete surprise that Derby have been monitoring him, the question of their level of commitment to pursuing Rodrigues remains rather ambiguous. As you rightly pointed out, a few noncommittal remarks don't necessarily imply that negotiations are currently underway. In a separate development, it appears that Notts County is intent on securing Aaron Nemane's services, offering him a more competitive wage package in a bid to stave off interest from other clubs, including rumoured rival Bolton. This demonstrates Notts County's proactive approach to retaining their key players as they look to bolster the squad's overall quality and depth.
  25. While it is undoubtedly exciting to see star players join a team, it is not without its potential downsides. One of these is the possibility of egos clashing, particularly when different players have their own ideas about how the team should play and who should be taking the lead. This is a risk that all clubs must manage carefully when bringing in high-profile names, and it requires a strong leadership structure and clear communication among all team members. It's also important that players are able to put their egos aside for the greater good of the team, especially when it comes to the crucial moments in any given match. While clashes between star players are always a risk, it's ultimately up to the club and the players themselves to work together to build a strong and cohesive team that can compete at the highest levels of the game.
