  1. Saying it’s fine to win ugly doesn’t help in the long run. It’s okay now and then, but if a team relies on luck or one good chance, it sends the wrong message. That said, fans should enjoy the odd scrappy win when it comes. Against Fleetwood, we looked like the better side, so I don’t really get why MP said the performance wasn’t “good”.

  2. The club and the Reedtz brothers have learnt a lot over time. Most of their time in charge has been positive, and our first season back in League Two followed that same path. I’m pleased with the progress. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but I do expect steady improvement and for the club to figure out how to handle each level. It took four seasons to get out of the National League, and now we’re in our third season back in the EFL. You’d hope this season or the next will be the one where we go up.

The most important thing is to appreciate what’s happening off the pitch. The club is becoming more stable and better run, which helps Notts stay strong in the long term. Any fan calling for the owners to leave clearly doesn’t realise how lucky we are right now.

  3. Fleetwood Town looked poor in the first half. They didn’t create anything that worried me, apart from one chance they wasted. Kelle Roos did well to hold his ground, even if the shot was straight at him. Notts looked close to scoring throughout, and once Matt Dennis got the goal, it felt like a second was coming. Then we started misplacing passes and lost control a bit. Still, a very good win and a solid team performance overall.

  4. There’s nothing surprising in the registration update. I’m actually a bit surprised the club bothered to post it, since most of it was obvious. Still, it’s good they did. These updates often get overlooked, but keeping fans informed is important.

  5. I imagine this is the club’s way of trying to calm some of the concerns around the rumours and the lack of clear updates. It doesn’t really offer much, though. The message feels quite shallow and full of corporate language. I think they could’ve shared more, especially about what they’re actually working on behind the scenes.

  6. It’s not a big loss, though I do respect the effort Curtis Edwards gave. He looked like a smart signing at first, which was a nice surprise. It’s a shame it didn’t work out, and in the end it felt like he was never meant to stay long.

  7. We’ll have to see how Mai Traoré gets on now the transfer window’s shut. There’s not much room to bring anyone else in, so I’m puzzled why MP asked for signings when it seemed unlikely. Was it just a distraction, or maybe wishful thinking? I’m not sure, but Traoré needs to prove himself now.

Maybe too much to ask for a win, but if we play like we did the first halves of Sunderland and Mansfield couple that with last week the dream could come true.

This is how I feel but if Notts plays well on their day they can beat any team in this league.

Issue we haven't seen the best of the squad but the signs under Neal Ardley are so far good, a positive draw wouldn't be the worst result. I would take it.

  9. Far better performance over the Stevenage game, fitness did look a little concerning with how the players moved in the first half but some of this may be down to effort or desire.

Second it was fantastic, very enjoyable and it was good to see two teams playing well.

Crewe was a good team, just lacking a bit of grit but they gave Notts a game and outclassed the club at times.

  10. Why did you join prideofnottingham.co.uk?

The question why didn't I join sooner? Classy site, well ran and structured with fans opinions at mind. I have watched PON grow for a while, I have mainly stuck to the social side of things but I was asked to joined, I like discussing Notts and it makes sense.

What is your main highlight of being a member?

Actually being greeted when I arrived with a friendly "hello", being new I am myself also, I have not had many highlights apart from having my picture taken every now and then!

How much have you seen PoN grow during your time?

Socially its the place to be, I have seen the site grow and the content makes it different. I hope to see the community grow further as I spend time getting to know the locals here!

As a community, what would you say are the three core values to PoN and why?

Hard work, togetherness and loyalty to each other.
