  1. Good insight. I think Stuart Maynard has mentioned how he sees Notts as a good fit and almost identically set up from Wealdstone. I’m surprised we haven’t been linked with one or two of their players, as I could see some filling the gaps to ensure that he has some of his own players who understand his way of thinking. I’m sure the squad will do well with his instructions, and it really is a gradual process.
  2. It sounds like the women’s team is ramping things up to go the extra mile. I do hope they can turn this season around and start collecting points. All these changes sound like a very good start.
  3. I’m eager to see him in action. It’s all too common to see a young player sign and then not quite live up to expectations. I’m sure Jaden Warner is here with the intention to play, but in the Championship, there’s more time to react. League Two is scrappy and physical. He has all the makings of a key player, but it depends on how he’s integrated into our team.
  4. It’s really sad news for Nuneaton’s community and fans. I hope they can find a way to start over.
  5. When a manager leaves, things don’t change straight away. Sometimes players lose focus because of these departures. I’m happy that everyone is on the same page. It shows how important it is to have a group of players who work together and support each other.
  6. It was remarkable how we persuaded Jodi Jones to join the National League. That’s a level of quality you wouldn’t typically expect, and seeing him sign here after impressing us was truly amazing. His comments about Luke Williams helping him enjoy his football spoke volumes to me. Despite the injuries he’s faced, his quality remains undeniable.
  7. While Stockport County is a strong team, they’re not invincible. Playing at home, we should be able to create opportunities to showcase our best football. I believe Stuart Maynard will instruct the players to go out, stay focused, and demonstrate their abilities. We can’t anticipate immediate change, but the initial signs could be promising.
  8. This is precisely the kind of loan we should be seeking for all our young players. Sending them to play for teams like Ilkestone Town might offer some match day experience, but the quality isn’t top-notch. We’ve often seen them dispatched to teams like Boston United, who merely use them to bolster their squad. I hope Brooks excels at Rochdale because it would bode well for us.
  9. I’m happy with Stuart Maynard’s appointment. He appears to be a promising manager and I believe the board has made a great choice in bringing him on board. I hope he settles in quickly, but I’m certain he’s the right person for the job at this time.
  10. Bristol City 0-1 Watford Norwich City 1-2 West Bromwich Albion Exeter City 1-1 Cambridge United Stevenage 0-2 Barnsley AFC Wimbledon 1-0 Crawley Town Barrow 0-0 Crewe Alexandra Eastleigh 2-1 Oldham Athletic Joker Ebbsfleet United 0-2 Hartlepool United
  11. The forum revamp is shaping up well, it’s a pleasant rearrangement for the site. It does make things more straightforward too.
  12. I assumed Cove Rangers was an English non-league team, but upon looking them up, I didn’t realise they were a Scottish League One club. He will likely be picked up by a Scottish Championship team or a League Two/One side.
  13. There’s no need to hasten Matt Palmer’s return, despite how much we miss his skills, as it could result in further complications. We ideally need him to be as fit as possible. To prevent additional injuries, I’d be more content knowing he’s aiming to return for the next pre-season. It gives us time to adapt to the injury, but at least he’s making progress.
  14. This is disheartening news. Sven did Notts a massive favour when he attempted to find a buyer and forgave the money he was owed by the fraudulent Munto. I hope he surpasses the expectations.
  15. It was a decent interview, though I believe Jim O’Brien might struggle to maintain the role if it extends beyond a single match. We appear to be taking our time with the appointment, which could be beneficial. It’s also reassuring to know he has the backing of two other coaches. However, he does seem a bit anxious to me.
  16. Hello, Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Michelle Evans.
  17. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Thomas Cotton.
  18. How would Nottingham’s map appear if it was divided based on Notts, Forest and Mansfield? I reckon we’d see a lot of plastic. Probably more than what’s reported in the ocean.
  19. We’re unaware of the mental condition of some of these individuals, they might simply require assistance. I don’t believe filming people merely because they’re impolite, noisy or otherwise irritating is beneficial or productive. This doesn’t excuse their behaviour, but I think those who attempt to claim moral superiority are equally at fault for seeking attention.
  20. Jayden Richardson didn’t take the penalty, he merely fell over and then alleged he had been fouled. I understand your point though. Regarding the budget, I’ve tried to investigate this and all the data seems very inconsistent. I don’t think Notts has the poorest budget and I’m interested in how expenditure affects the money we have for players’ wages. So, it might not be exactly like comparing two identical apples, but I suspect our budget might not be as robust as others. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/league-two/startseite/wettbewerb/GB4
  21. Welcome to the community, it's nice to be saying hello to you @Robbie__64. Expect some more friendly hello's over the next few days.
  22. Judging by today’s performance, it’s clear that there’s potential for further improvement. Stockport County has proven themselves to be a formidable team in this league. I don’t particularly enjoy bringing budgets into the conversation as they don’t provide a fair basis for comparison. It’s the performance that truly counts. Being the home team would have certainly given them a leg up. So, it’s encouraging to see signs of progress despite this advantage.
  23. If we take today’s performance as an indicator, I believe we can keep getting better. Stockport County is a strong team in this league. I’m not fond of discussing budgets as it’s not a fair comparison. Performance is what truly matters. Being the home team would have given them an advantage, so I’m happy to see signs of improvement.
  24. The only explanation could be that they view the statistic as a point of pride. Perhaps they believe it indicates progress, or, more delusional, they might think the officials are of a higher standard than they actually are. I’m not sure, as stats can be interpreted in various ways.
