  1. Hello, @Strawb66. Interesting username! Welcome to PON.
  2. Hello, welcome! @Laura Cameron PON is a good site.
  3. Hello, @magpiemad. You have joined the right site to share your passion of Notts. Welcome.
  4. Hello, @samantha louise. Do tell us about your background as a Notts fan.
  5. What stands out for me from Williams's words is that he's not afraid to tackle our defensive issues head-on. It's clear he’s aware of the gaps and is intent on addressing them. Sure, it's a process, and it won't be resolved overnight. It's also worth noting his candidness. It’s not often you see a manager own up to a failure and yet still mandate the courage to face it.
  6. Let’s keep our eyes on the league and strive for further improvements. Let’s see where this journey takes us. With a few tweaks, improved defensive strategies, and a new signing in January, we’ll push forward.
  7. Love Junior's philosophy on teamwork and dedication, it's what football is all about. Very inspiring!
  8. I’m delighted for both Jim O’Brien and Junior Morias, two players who truly deserve a lift from scoring a goal. They both performed brilliantly, and I agree that Jim’s celebration was quite stylish.
  9. We can handle injuries, but we must keep in mind that our performance might drop. When we’re away from home, it’s fair to ask for a change in tactics, as we’re more comfortable at Meadow Lane. The lads did a great job to turn the game around and win.
  10. It’s not that I can’t or won’t, but at this stage, I’m not considering a membership subscription. I want to be clear, I understand that a lot of effort, resources, time, and money go into a website, and I think Pride of Nottingham is excellent. I hope more active and regular members will support this. For now, I’ll stick to making occasional donations. Good on you, @Fan of Big Tone, for committing.
  11. Well done, @Piethagoram and @super_ram. You both contribute so much to the site, and I appreciate that. I’m delighted for both of you to have been voted as the members of the month.
  12. It was a great win. If we’d started brighter, I don’t think there would have been any doubt. I think we need to be a bit more consistent in defence. If we handle those early decisions better, I think we’ll get into the swing of games much quicker. Jodi Jones, Dan Crowley, Aarone Nemane, and David McGoldrick were all top-notch.
  13. I was in awe of Notts County's determination and teamwork. From Aidan Stone's timely saves to David McGoldrick's fantastic strike, everything seemed to align perfectly for us. Big shoutout to Junior Morias for that clinical finish! The win not only lifts our spirits but also puts us in good stead for our future games. Onwards, lads, let’s keep this energy going!
  14. The aim now must be to rally behind Williams' words and look to improve. The dilemma we have on our hands isn't insurmountable, it's about harnessing the potential that's already within the squad. Rediscovering the intensity and the willingness to fight in every situation is the key. With Chicksen back in the team, things look a bit more hopeful.
  15. He was an excellent player, not just for Notts, but for every team he represented. His talent was evident, particularly his knack for taking set pieces. Whether it was corners, free kicks, or set plays, Ben Davies was always the best choice.
  16. I'm sure the lads can shake this away game performances. What better way than to do it against Wimbledon? It's time we make this a game for the history books. Let's roar the lads on to a legendary win. Pie till I die!
  17. Williams’ honest analysis is praiseworthy, showing a coach who embraces accountability. The team’s first-half displays have been remarkable, showcasing their potential. Yet, the second half needs more focus. Our resilience appears to lessen, causing a drop in intensity and control over the match. This can be disheartening for fans. However, let’s turn this into a positive. It’s a chance to identify and address weaknesses, and to improve our second-half strategies. This will help maintain momentum throughout the match, leading to more exciting games. Stay positive!
  18. Regardless of Bradford City’s managerial change, we must still strive to perform at our peak and seize the opportunity presented by the game. If we can dominate and dictate the game while defending valiantly, I will be content. I aspire to see us attempt to reach double figures in terms of shots on target. Such targets are imperative if we wish to secure promotion, as is securing the 3 points in tomorrow’s match. Defeat is not an option; it would be a disappointment, but let’s rally behind the lads!
  19. As fans, we typically see the action on the pitch but rarely understand what transpires on the training ground and in the managerial offices. Williams' interview was an insightful sneak peek into exactly that. This man wholeheartedly understands the ground realities of our club and football in general. His perspective on Notts' challenges, his emphasis on strategy, and his pragmatism on team performance, it's all inspiring to see. He truly is the right person to challenge the status quo and transform Notts County.
  20. I’m not bothered either way. I can see good reasons for it and with other clubs choosing to reintroduce some standing areas, it makes sense. Notts should create a specific area for safe standing and then see how it goes. I have heard people calling for Meadow Lane to revert to full standing and that is just silly. You need some seats, if not more than the area for standing would allow.
  21. I've been following Notts County for years, and I must say, Luke Williams' tenure has been one of the most exciting periods for the club. His leadership has brought a new energy to the team, and the promotion from the National League was just the icing on the cake. The rumours linking him to Oxford didn't have me worried, but it seems to have concerned other fans this article has put those fears to rest. It's clear that Williams sees Notts as more than just a club. It's his home, and that's exactly the kind of passion and commitment we need to take this club to new heights.
  22. We’re aware that Crewe has the potential to excel and even pose a challenge. It will be intriguing to see how Notts approaches the match. It’s likely that Luke Williams won’t deviate much from previous league games, although I anticipate Dan Gosling will start in this game. The absence of Matt Palmer will be a setback, but this signing significantly fills the void for the time being. A strong performance and result could be a game-changer.
  23. This is an exciting time for us Notts fans! Dan Gosling’s arrival is more than just a signing – his qualities could positively influence the club’s atmosphere. Gosling’s impact on our younger players will be vital. I can envision them learning valuable skills from such an experienced player, which will hopefully strengthen our squad.
  24. In the current game, the impact of leadership and experience cannot be overstated. The signing of Gosling takes me back to his days at Bournemouth and Everton, where he was seen as a backbone of sorts. His tenacity, determination, and resilience of never giving up regardless of the odds, is something that our brilliant club Notts County could surely benefit from. Welcome to the squad, Dan.
  25. Notts sealing their place under such pressure is proof of their mental strength and solid teamwork. Looking forward to more of such displays of determination!
