  1. D Day was such a massive operation in planning, logistics, manpower & the scale of its execution was absolutely awesome. The planning went on for months and the work done behind the scenes by millions of people that made it all possible. Then came those brave souls of the armed forces that fought and died on our behalf on land, sea & in the air on that day & for the following 3 months after to take Normandy. They will never be forgotten. And we shouldn't forget those thousands of French civilians who died getting caught up in the fighting particularly in the City of Caan. At the going down of the Sun & in the morning, we will remember them.
  2. I think that it would be the wish of the vast majority of Notts fans to see Notts in the PL eventually. I am one of those fans. Teams like Brentford & Bournemouth were always regarded as lower league teams when I started watching football, but they established themselves in the PL eventually. As far as Notts is concerned, and taking into account the present financial model, I think we are looking at a minimum of ten to fifteen years before Notts will be in a position to challenge for PL status. I think Notts will need a big injection of money once they have established themselves in the Championship to even think about promotion to the PL. The way that football is going though, I would rather Notts be in the top half of the Championship, than struggling in the PL to stay up & becoming a yo yo club.
  3. Lots of Clubs have a Director of Football role who specifically deal with overseeing the running of medical & physiotherapy departments, the scouting network, transfer dealings, and data analysis. We don't know who has this role at Notts but I would have thought that someone on the back room staff would be doing some of this role. I wonder if Notts CEO Joe Palmer has this function as part of his duties?
  4. Update. Aston Villa have proposed to increase the amount of money clubs can lose under PSR rules in the Premier League over a 3-year period from £105m to £135m. This is set to get the green light in today's meeting.
  5. Update. Premier League Clubs have voted in favour of continuing with VAR.
  6. The Document is less than an improvement plan, but more like trying to bully PL clubs into rejecting Wolves motion to scrap VAR, for example:- Up to Hundred more wrong decisions if VAR scrapped. The PL are contractually obligated to keep significant operating cost elements of VAR for another three years. Our domestic Referees could be barred from officiating in Europe if clubs vote to ban VAR here according to the PL. The PL are putting lots of pressure on PL clubs to reject Wolverhampton Wanderers motion to scrap VAR. Looks like the PL will succeed unfortunately.
  7. Welcome to our PON community @Scotty Nice to see you aboard.
