  1. I know there's speculation abound but Notts and Swansea are not denying what the strong rumours are. Well know tomorrow I expect.
  2. Yes @Fozzy We are all waiting probably for the inevitable, but let Notts take their time. Notts must be properly compensated. If Swansea want him, there'll have to pay for him.
  3. Speculation is continuing on social media that Luke Williams to Swansea is a done deal, but yet to be officially confirmed. If it's a done deal, a new Manager/Head Coach will have to be appointed. What changes will we see once the new Manager/Head Coach comes in? Will we see a different shape, tactics, the way we play, the same ethic of 'total football' or will we see changes, and what changes would you like to see from a new Manager/Head Coach? For me, I would like to see the same ethic continue, but I'd like the team to be more cautious & defensive minded playing away & have a plan B when necessary. Because a new person will be appointed there may be a delay now in players coming in, so the new boss can have input on new recruits.
  4. Brief highlights of Division 2, Notts 3 v Southampton 2, Sept 1974 featuring Kevin Randall, Brian Stubbs & Don Mason
  5. Paul Cook of Chesterfield could be considered. He guided Chesterfield & Portsmouth to League 2 titles 2013/14 & 2016/17 respectfully. He also guided League 1 Wigan to the title in 2017/2018.
  6. So there is a silver lining coming, which is a positive development.
  7. I agree with you @Ohh Tommy Johnson We didn't know much about, Luke, Macaulay and Dan before they came to Notts, and wow have they performed for us. Life will have to go on after those three have left and anyone else who may leave, and the Club will go on from strength to strength in the future.
  8. I'm sure the the Reedtz brothers know who they want. I don't think we'll see any one on the bookies list, or any former Managers of Notts Who ever they choose may well be an upcoming young Coach who wants to play open football, but with a hint of caution too with a plan B if plan A doesn't work. The owners have picked well up to yet and I'm confident they'll do it again.
  9. Key areas will be our goalkeeper and defense. I believe Notts need to start being more cautious on their travels. I would go for a 3,5,1,1 formation, a back three, with 5 across midfield leaving Macaulay up front supported by Didzy. I would drop Stone & Brindley, & bring in Brooks & Macari. I would drop Nemane and replace him with Robertson. My Plan B. Notts need to be more defensive minded away from home, by conceding possession much more and catching opponents on the break, and also employ more direct tactics too. Notts have demonstrated that going long does work when they use it. Notts just need to be less predictable, because the opposition have done their homework on us, in many ways they have found us out. Notts need to counter that and come up with an alternative, to surprise the opposition. I'd like to see a 1:0 victory but I'd settle for a draw.
  10. @Fozzy the grass is not always greener on the other side is it
  11. I'm sad. But if he does go, and it looks likely, he will always be regarded as a Notts County great & he will always be welcome at our club.
  12. This news seems to be coming from a reliable source, but I hope it's not true.
  13. I think your right about Stone @Fozzy Brooks should be given a go, I think players on the fringe should be given a start like Junior just to give the opposition something different to think about. Giving Macaulay a free role seemed to work in the 3 games before Tranmere. Just doing something different. Do what the opposition don't want
  14. It seems much easier to add video from X, but I'm still learning I suppose.
  15. Last season, Salford City made the playoffs in 7th place with 22 wins, 9 draws, 15 losses & 75 points. I think to be safe in the playoffs this season 80 points may achieve it for Notts this season. Notts have accrued 42 points from 26 games So far. So 38 points minimum from 20 games left is doable. 12 wins and two draws would do it, allowing for 6 additional losses. Anything more from those 6 games would be a bonus. It is going to be a stretch though. We have some tough games still to come against the top four, Mansfield, Barrow, Wrexham, & Stockport, & all the other games will be tough too, but I am confident we still have a good chance of making the playoffs. Thoughts?
  16. Just imagine if our defence was up to it, Where would we be in league 2 now?
  17. Agree @Michael D P if a team is leaking goals like no tomorrow one has to have a plan B. Of course look for new players, but even new players will find it difficult by the way we keep exposing ourselves on away trips. Of course we would like to win every away game, but most clubs play not to lose away, & if they get a win, that's a bonus.
  18. Burton Albion 1 v 1 Wycombe Wanderers Exeter City 1 v 2 Carlisle United Bradford City 1 v 1 Crawley Town Salford City 2 v 1 Forest Green Rovers Swindon Town 1 v 2 Colchester United Altrincham 1 v 1 Barnet Dorking Wanderers 0 v 2 Oldham Athletic Southend United 3 v 0 Halifax Town joker
  19. @DangerousSausage Wow, I'm off the bottom. My Head Coach must be doing something good ????
  20. A bit of Notts County nostalgia from 48 years ago. Fulham v Notts Nov 1976.. see if you can pick out some of our greats in action.
  21. I think it would be difficult to rule out Ronnie Radford's goal for non league Hereford v Newcastle in February 1972, when Radford helped Hereford beat First Division Newcastle in a Third Round Replay. Just look at the state of the pitch.
  22. 60s, 70s, & 80s is what I listen to every day. My favourite artists are Deep Purple & Uriah Heep
  23. Looks like Warner looks a decent player on the video, quick and skillful. But I believe we need an experienced, tall, strong, tenacious defender who doesn't switch off and isn't afraid to tackle. Not sure if Warner fit the bill in all those things.
