Good afternoon everyone hope you are all well. It's a drab dreary day here where the light hasn't got much over twilight. These are the type of days that Mrs R has never liked coming originally from a place that was much brighter during the daylight hours & the daylight hours were longer in winter over the pond too. Putting politics aside, over a period of time we have both been concerned about what is happening over the pond & here in Europe. During the last several months, I have been changing my opinion about where the future of this Country lies & where it should be closer to, And that's easy, it's Europe. We are living in scary times where it now seems to be the age of the strong & powerful & they prefer to take what they want & do what they like, while the World looks on. It's much better to have close friends that think alike & believe in similar things & who you can count on.

I'm pleased that Jodi scored with a screamer & Alassana had a good game. Platt was his usual self in defence & the team was solid defensively & unfortunate not to get a clean sheet. I think I'm going to go for James Belshaw as my Man of the Match for Notts, because he made some vital saves on his debut, & it was an encouraging first game for him.

A think it was a typical Martin Paterson performance from Notts once again, with a gritty, workmanlike, but rather scrappy performance especially in the first half.I think there has been a difference in the way Notts play since last season. I do like the way that his side has become hard working, gritty & defensively compact, which was certainly missing under previous Head Coaches during the last few years.I think it is alright to use the direct attacking style on some occasions, but I do think that Notts should continue with their cultured attacking style especially at home. Hopefully the new players recruited in the January window will enable that attacking style to flourish once again.

A good workmanlike win for Notts today against a struggling Crawley side. A bit of individual brilliance from Jodi & a poachers goal from Jatta gave Notts the points. Notts were unfortunate to concede a late goal from a deflection, but getting back to winning ways will be welcome. So who's your Man of the Match for Notts today?
