"I Believe We Can Push On": Kellan Gordon Eyes Success at Notts County
You need players to come in and step up when needed, and Kellan Gordon has impressed me. Early on, he didnβt get any game time, but that didnβt stop him from working hard. The way he speaks shows heβs a quality player, with his priorities in order, and you can see his focus on wanting to succeed. He was a good player for Crawley, so heβs a good signing for us, and being from Burton, heβs not far from here.

Who's Your Notts Man of the Match v Carlisle?
Alex Bass deserves the Man of the Match award for last nightβs performance. He was commanding in the box, especially with all the crosses Carlisle put in. That late save he made was top-notch, but his overall game management was just as impressive. The way he organises the defence and communicates with the players around him makes a huge difference.

Who is your Notts man of the match v Morecambe?
I thought very few of our players could say they performed well. It wasnβt like Notts to give the ball away so easily or not attack as a composed team. In my opinion, only three players deserve to be in the running for this. One was taken off when he was becoming more of a threat, another is listed, but I chose the player I believe deserves it most.

Stuart Maynard; Is He Winning Over His Doubters?
I do agree with your sentiment, but I would say it depends on who said it, despite their pedigree, as some players will back their manager. I donβt think David McGoldrick would vouch for someone if he didnβt agree, but clubs can get players to falsely validate their managers. We experienced this to some extent with Jamie Fullarton. Although it wasnβt a βcurrent player,β someone advised Les Bradd to speak highly of Fullarton, and I donβt believe any of it is true. I feel he did it with good intent, to try to help him, but whoever encouraged it was largely misguided, and it hasnβt aged well. Notts County: Jamie Fullarton has similar approach to Jimmy Sirrel WWW.BBC.CO.UK Notts County legend Les Bradd says manager Jamie Fullarton reminds him of the club's greatest ever boss Jimmy Sirrel.

American Pie
I am very sorry to read such sad news. I am not familiar with American Pie, but I am sure he is well thought of across our community. Such an outpouring suggests so. Please let him know we are thinking of him.

Welcome to Notts, Lucas Ness
Lucas Ness is a very exciting prospect. If we had signed him earlier, during the pre-season, I believe many fans would have been thrilled to see him join Notts. The depth and quality we have in defence might make some overlook his arrival, but his potential is very promising. We have to hope that a player like Ness can settle in and rediscover what worked for him at Charlton, especially in a new squad. That isnβt always easy, but the transition will come in time. Iβm delighted that Ness is now a Notts player.

The Pride of Nottingham Launches Monthly Fan Appreciation Initiative
@Joshua we have 6 subscribers as of now. The plan is to gift 4 prints across each platform: Facebook, Twitter (x.com), and Instagram. Instagram is very relaxed. Chris wants it to focus more on art, edits, and opinions rather than news. Closer to the time, messages will be sent to potential winners for them to accept and let us know what they would like to say to the judges. If they donβt want a print, someone else who does will get one. Fans can still buy the prints if they really want one, so weβre not concerned about that.

The Pride of Nottingham Launches Monthly Fan Appreciation Initiative
Chris has been kindly giving fans prints, often just to make someoneβs day. I think thereβs room to reward dedication and fans who are part of the community, so Iβm speaking with him about ideas. This came up, and I think itβs going to be nice to see fans rewarded for being part of the community. Notts has a vibrant fan base, with many good people representing the club. Our gaffer goes above and beyond.

6000 Season Tickets Sold
Great to see 6k season tickets sold. I wonder how many have taken up the clubβs membership offer? I think the numbers make for a great sign that Meadow Lane will continue to be well supported, even by casual fans.

Fake Football Merchandise.
I am not that keen on retro shirts myself, mostly because the shirts tend to be off. Due to copyright and branding, you will never get a close enough remake that will be endorsed by a professional club. Some of these fake ones with the Adidas logo, Match Winner, etc., are wrong despite being closer to perfect. Clubs shouldnβt target the supporters, though. This just alienates the fan base and could lead to some fans being unpleasant to their own supporters just for wearing a shirt. Itβs down to individual preference if someone likes something, and nobody should say otherwise. Even though I donβt personally like them, I can see why people do and why some would buy cheap fakes just to feel closer to their club. Most might even be unaware that it breaks copyright, but I would assume most did. Chasing a Chinese manufacturer would be difficult, so targeting fans is the easiest route, and people tend to do whatever is easier.

Castel di Sangro, the rise and fall of a small town Italian team
There are many rolling hills and stunning picturesque scenery, even for the smallest Italian football teams. Their achievement to reach Serie B is nothing short of a miracle, and the book Joe McGinniss wrote is very interesting. If you like football stories, I would recommend it to PON members. Italian football has been plagued with match-fixing. Throwing their final game of the 96-97 season ultimately led to them folding.
