  1. Iorpenda for me never stops working while on the pitch. Learning and growing all the time. I did miss some of the game because I was also trying to watch Ireland v Italy which was poor. As MP says the next game is the most important now. Hopefully if thereโ€™s a wheel off the Barrow itโ€™ll be Shrewsburysโ€™ on Tuesday. Hopefully Marty Palmer and Alasatta Jatta will be in contention soon.
  2. Iorpenda for me, especially for someone so young on a night for heavy booted giants. Anyway as Martin Patterson says itโ€™s about the badge and the next game. I feel that he has done a great job in encouraging courage, confidence and never say die And that for me is really why we won our last 2 games. Looking forward to Barrow on Saturday now, Gillingham is over now, a three points each league outcome we need to do better than that over the season. Off we go now one game at a time, itโ€™s a marathon not a sprint.
  3. Norburn had another good game and Conor Grant put in a decent 90 minutes plus but Scott Robertson steadied the ship in that 2nd half. We faffed about after the 2nd goal and incurred stupid yellows that Could still bite us in the rear end But we won on a crap ***** in awful conditions. Weโ€™re human, weโ€™re here and weโ€™ll keep on keeping on.
  4. Likewise Iโ€™ve had doubts about Roos too and tbh I still have particularly regarding a seeming reluctance to command his area but fair is fair he produced a number of very strong saves and was on his game for the 100 minutes today. I also think that the manager and staff deserve a nod too particularly with their game management and substitution decisiveness. I am constantly getting small reminders of the common sense, patience and honesty that we became used to in the 70s and 80s. No more than the team and the keeper Iโ€™m thinking small little steps but thereโ€™s something about our Martin.
  5. Iโ€™m away in Italy but followed the Match on Pie Player from my sunbed so I have not seen any play But because we kept a clean sheet and Robbo scored and announced his return Iโ€™m assuming, it has to be him today. Great result too for the squad with obvious positive impacts from subs. Onwards on Upwards, itโ€™s a marathon not a sprint.
  6. Joshua, I wasnโ€™t at last weeks game. S
  7. Hello All! Thanks for the Welcome. I joined because Footymad seemed to be in limbo or shutting down. Iโ€™ve been a non contributing member of it for many years and before it, I was a member of probably one of the earliest email lists relating to our great club and supporters. Iโ€™m trying to get used to the layout of the site, is there a โ€œHow doโ€ piece within the site? My name is John Smith though throughout my work life I used the Irish form of my name which is Sean Mac Gabhann (pronounced Mc Gowan as in Shane, God be Good to Him). I was born in Nottingham in 1959 to Irish immigrant parents and we returned to Ireland in 1964. Iโ€™ve been a County fan since I was about 10 around the time that our greatest manager came to the club. Iโ€™m a very rare attendee at Meadow Lane due to clashing activity filled weekends here in Dublin. Iโ€™m hoping for a better season than last and Iโ€™m patiently hoping that this group will gel quickly and find their Mojo especially in terms of confident defence and positive possession. I subscribe to Tom and George for their YouTube match day videos. Regards, Sean aka John
