  1. @k9muers, its good to have you here, welcome to pon! i hope you enjoy the site and manage to find time to join in with discussions etc.
  2. hes still very young and can only improve, with some of the players we have in the team that should help him. not just matt palmer but the likes of dan crowley, scott robertson and conor grant etc. i like how he comes across and i do hope that he continues from his performance against walsall.
  3. Luton Town 1-2 Swansea City Plymouth Argyle 0-1 Oxford United Blackpool 2-3 Rotherham United Cambridge United 1-0 Shrewsbury Town Crawley Town 2-0 Stevenage joker Gillingham 1-0 Salford City Harrogate Town 0-1 AFC Wimbledon Newport County 0-0 Carlisle United
  4. some fans could be offended if you wore the away shirt over the home, i would not worry. provided you are fair and thoughtful, and not doing anything out of spite it should be fine. personally, i laughed several times at your blog. i thought it was very funny!
  5. i have also voted for david mcgoldrick, for me its between him and matty palmer. jack hinchy did well, but i just dont feel it was anywhere to the standard that mcgoldrick or palmer set.
  6. @Fan of Big Tone chin up, the only way you can go is in that direction. some good rounds and you will be back in the mix easily. ???? i would, but i think you need to be worried about @thommo, @william1984 and @Megan_Elizax overtaking you.
  7. i am starting to feel like its cold enough to snow, the yard out back is not a good place to working. even with me being wrapped up, it feels very chilly. the drive to work this morning, i thought there might be chance for a downpour but i have not yet seen any rain. i am counting down the hours until i can get myself home.
  8. will this be a bit of grudge match from the lincoln perspective with us taking their old team to form our own? i know the current womens team is new and seperate to that, but i wonder if lincoln united will resent the fact we slowed down their development or is it a different lincoln? i hope our girls manage to claim the victory!
  9. when they do return, there is the chance we might further improve and i think the club really did want to have a good cup run. it was unfortunate that the subs impacted the game, but peterborough was already growing into the game. at least now we can focus on the league, so i dont think we need to worry or dwell on the results. i think we need to try to show the lads we are fully behind them and that includes stuart maynard!
  10. i think some fans are just worried we wont get promoted and might return to those years were we was average, but it is frustrating to see people question the desire and hunger of our owners. they deserve better than that, the reedtz are greatly responsible for putting us on the right path. we are signing far better players than we would have under previous regimes. this is a good blog, i found it very funny and i hope people dont take the hump. thanks for writing it @allardyces tash.
  11. i think the game shows how we need more cutting edge up front, some of this will come with time from the players we have and parts will needed to be added to with signings. the game was not bad, just going down by 2-0 goals in the second half made it difficult to salvage a point. when we did score, we allowed them to retake a 2 goal lead. so late into a game, you are not going to have much luck turning that around.
  12. its really just putting the chances we create away, had an earlier effort of ours gone in i think the game would have been different. defensively this season we do play like we can come back from errors, but the two goals walsall first scored mind it difficult for us to get anything out of the game. if we had kept it 2-1, when jack hinchy scored the game would have reflected a fairer outcome. the injuries dont help but we need to play as a team and cut out lack of focus. earlier in the season stuart maynard spoke about being unpredictable but we are in our efforts on goal. dont get me wrong, i am not disappointed but it is frustrating that we did not respond when the game was at 1-0.
  13. sounds like some very good changes, i think it might be nice to see people reach the bigger milestones and pick up some badges along the way.
  14. i plan to join when i get chance, i wont be ditching x but as i said before i only really look at notts, pon and other pon members.
  15. i have not long arrived in walsall, we [@TheSkipper @Joshua] are going to get something to eat and have a walk around the outside of the ground. thankfully my line manager allowed me to finish work early due to all the overtime i put in. hes a forest fan, but is quite friendly towards notts. congratulations on the badges @Fan of Big Tone and @Robbie. i will try to comment on the game if its not cold on the hands. ????
  16. well done @KingMaynard, really pleased to see you to see that you have reached the grand master status.
  17. i think we stand a good chance of causing what might surprise some fans and get back to winning ways on the road. if we can put a good display against walsall, it would help going into the weekends game against colchester. this is a very important game, as a win would keep us within the top part of the table where we want to be. it would make some ground of the points we may have lost. not that i am saying we are not doing well, i just think the potential three puts will help us catch up a bit with those teams like walsall who have games in hand. if the results dont go our way, we might fall a bit further down and i just think this time is when you need to find that form.
  18. i have not missed an away game or home match so far, so i am happy with that but the way notts are selling multiple games it makes it harder. i am lucky enough to be able to afford it, but it means scrambling to get the tickets.
  19. i am not sure i see the sense in it either, but i wish leicester city all the best. i would feel hugely disappointed if this was notts, but it does seem like an appointment someone like ah would have made. i am not sure its a good thing for them.
  20. i am not really watching anything right now but i will watch this topic for suggestions.
  21. yes, it was going to be tough but it would be a great experience for them and something that should help them learn. no shame in the result at all.
  22. Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Mansfield Town Leyton Orient 3-1 Bristol Rovers Stevenage 0-1 Northampton Town Wrexham 2-0 Barnsley joker Bradford City 1-0 Barrow Colchester United 1-2 Swindon Town Salford City 0-0 Harrogate Town Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Morecambe
  23. when he played, he did well and scored a few goals for us from chances most would not. notts never gave him a fair chance, when we had options and he fell down the order he was not played but when we needed someone like him the most, notts decides to loan him out. i would have only loaned him out had we replaced macaulay langstaff. i am sure the club would say he wanted to go, but considering the chance we gave him i am not surprised.
  24. happy birthday! i hope he had a good one.
  25. despite the complaints from some fans, i felt like we did well against a much better team that has championship calibre within their squad. peterborough clearly did not take us seriously, their keeper looked awful and we stun them with our goal and that allowed us to get the second. i think stuart maynard should not have made so many subs, but if he did not then again some of our fan base would be moaning about tuesdays game. i am proud of the account our players gave, they did not stop battling unlike some of our fans.
