  1. hes done remarkable well since joining us, i think he has also shown signs of improvement. before he signed permanently i was not that bothered about him, good loan player but did not quite make his presence known. yet since playing more, i am pleased by how hes grown and this season its hard to see him not being named in the squad.
  2. i like that he sounds defensive focused, because he could be someone that can continue our approach to winning the ball back quickly. i have been impressed with this so fart, but i think if george abbott is comfortable getting stuck in, he could be a joy to watch going forward. he comes across very well.
  3. @Fan of Big Tone i think some people are too involved in football, paul hart seems a lot like neil warnock and unable to actually retire for long. he has taken breaks before, so i am not sure it will last that long. i hope he does get time to spend with his family, hes earned a legacy in football and if he can put aside the feelings that the game stirs he would be comfortable in his retirement.
  4. i dont expect many signings, i think with the keeper department we have good enough cover. alex bass should be fine to play most of the games, so i dont worry about that. a striker would be nice. @ARLukomski would you please consider adding transfers you think other clubs have done well to secure? i like your insights into this.
  5. he does look like a very exciting loan signing, a player who could go on to have a top career. i think the club might be hyping him as to be expected but i think he will focus on allowing his football and ability to do the talking. i hope he enjoys his time at notts and meadow lane.
  6. Derby County 2-1 Bristol City joker Plymouth Argyle 0-1 Stoke City Crawley Town 0-2 Barnsley Peterborough United 3-1 Wrexham Accrington Stanley 2-2 Colchester United Carlisle United 0-1 Tranmere Rovers Altrincham 0-0 Oldham Athletic Gateshead 1-0 Eastleigh
  7. i do wonder how the new lad will fit in? i dont want to sound negative towards him but i think it would be wrong if he just made it straight into the first team. i want the players to keep working for the privilege so that we can get the very best out of them. hopefully, he does come on from off the bench but i dont think the team needs any changes unless we have injury concerns.
  8. @Fan of Big Tonei love reading fans thoughts on former players, its the best education you can get when you have not seen them play. stories might be projected a little taller, due to the pride and nostalgia but that just makes it even better.
  9. i agree. ???????? they just need to keep building and not before long, they will climb the leagues. i am pleased we have a womens team that is fully ours and is growing organically.
  10. i dont mind a loan signing like this, i think it makes sense to being someone in who is a young captain and can play multiple positions. I wish him well, and i hope he does well.
  11. its a positive to be drawing at half time, the gulf between us and them is big. nothing to be that down about, our players tried and thats all we can ask.
  12. i barely watched the olympics but i have found the paraoympics to be far more compelling. even if its not team gb, i have felt happy to see people doing well.
  13. i dont changes tend to ruin football, the champions and europa league feels stale and the same as each other. then theres the nations league which is boring. i have no ideas or suggestions about the league cup.
  14. even yeovil fans dont buy their own merchandise, i would laugh my head off if the misspelling made it onto their shirts. we might need to amend how we spell it rightly, if it catches on. ????
  15. one of my favourite alumni articles is that of tony hateley, it told me all i needed and i can see why he made a lasting impression on fans like @Fan of Big Tone.
  16. when i was learning it was suggested to choose automatic but i could not take to it. i dont know, you will probably adjust with time but it felt strange for me that i had no control over the gears. so, i went with manual and im very happy.
  17. i am glad that notts has rejected the bids, but it could lead to higher offers if clubs are desperate enough to add quality to their team. im not concerned all that much, pleased the focus is solely on playing swindon town.
  18. stuart maynard get on the phone to get macca back on loan until the end of the season! if they are signing a striker, it might move him further down the pegging order. strike notts and lets get him back.
  19. i doubt it. the only thing i can find on mihailo ivanovic in the news is from the football league world who are well known for making sensationalised stories. i wonder where the information came from, because i would imagine an italian team going in for him. if not at least a premier league team, millwall would do better persisting with macaulay langstaff.
  20. the nest really is a great way to bring in additional revenue, its very good. @Fan of Big Tone i tried at the grimsby game but ended up leaving once i looked around. its not my thing either, but i can see that its a very good idea.
  21. alan sheehan joined us after being released by swindon town. he had a loan spell before he joined them permanently.
  22. he seems a right character but its great to see him supporting his grandson, here a good video i have seen of lou macari. some funny parts!
  23. the facts do say a lot about jatta, he can be a threat on goal and i can see him being a big part of our squad. he is a good striker that has the ability to score goals in many ways. not picking faults, but it would be nice to see a few more goals from his heading ability, such a tall player would be prime for those types of chances.
  24. i got free tickets from notts at school, i have mentioned this a few times in the past. my dad and uncle tried to get me to show an interest in forest, i was never interested but in very early teens i decided i wanted to take up the free tickets and i have loved notts ever since. even my dad and uncle now go to games, they sit in the pavis and have had season tickets for a few seasons now. my first game, i really enjoyed it and found the fans to be very friendly.
  25. some rumours just make me laugh, if the press start picking up then sometimes it can mean there is something behind it but even they can jump at social accounts spreading false reports. i dont believe it.
