  1. jodi did very well as a team player and individually, i think he would be my man of the match and its not something i usually agree with when the club sponsors choose. he did well, his crosses were excellent and he linked up well with the team. i dont think he will get the goal, but we know it was him who scored. the win is all that matters but i hope to see more goals from him this season.
  2. kamil conteh looked class. @Piethagoram do you know who their small set piece taker was? he looked really good on the ball and i thought his crosses were very dangerous. not just from the corners he took but from the wing.
  3. the second half notts showed their real class, credit to grimsby for making it difficult. i thought they did well in the first half to cause us issues and their second goal was a very nice timed move. thankfully, we showed our better quality to win and i thought jodi jones was class. his crosses were pin point and gave us a means to get back into the game. i dont blame connell rawlinson or aaron nemane for the first goal, these things happen but we do need to make them less common.
  4. its going to be interesting to see if we play with confidence or if we still seem to have those early day jitters. i am hoping we can get macaulay langstaff on the score sheet, as he becomes a constant threat once he has scored and so far hes had chances. hes just been unlucky to connect well enough to put the ball in the back of the net. i think this is the type of game where starting cedwyn scott could benefit our front line. hopefully luke williams will explore this option, along with getting david mcgoldrick playing just behind langstaff but allowing him to drop deeper to pick the ball up from matt palmer or john bostock.
  5. the football in front of him looks very nice. he seems to be enjoying his spell with the club, i am impressed with their setup too. i wish him all the best.
  6. Barnsley 2-0 Peterborough United Northampton Town 1-1 Lincoln City Shrewsbury Town 3-0 Burton Albion Colchester United 0-1 AFC Wimbledon Crewe Alexandra 1-1 Newport County Stockport County 0-1 Bradford City joker Eastleigh 0-1 Barnet Woking 0-0 Rochdale
  7. not much shows, elon musk really is impacting the views into twitter. i refuse to call it what hes renamed it, but i can see @Pieorama has wished brad all the best. i hope its the start of more of our youngsters going out on loan and getting some important first team football.
  8. mcgoldrick was class, it was him who got us going forward. his smart out lay pass to jodi jones opened up the space for us to pull back level. i think the first half there was not a lot of cohesion. crowley was guilty of playing back too much, or just playing balls forward that nemane was never going to get onto. there was a few good plays, which i give him credit for but i felt he played better in the second half. his crosses were hard to defend and he linked play a lot more wisely.
  9. superb goals from a natural fans point of view, our goals were very well taken and pleasing for the comeback win.
  10. huge relief to get the win, very impressed from the second half and i feel that should be the standard. notts will be fine, but we need to stop making it harder for ourselves. i think the squad were great pulling level and for achieving the win. jodi jones and david mcgoldrick can make things happen.
  11. a sluggish but okay start by notts. the first goal people will complain about connell rawlinson and he should have done better, but it was a silly pass to him. even sillier what he did, as he allowed rose clean through but that was always going to be a goal once you let someone one on one with the keeper. our equaliser got the best out of our players and we started to come back into it, their 2nd goal was a brilliant worked goal. i hold no fault for how that happened because it was a great move, which had excellent timing. 2nd half was a different tempo by notts, best team of the two for the longest period and i think we deserved to win. grimsby played quite well, but kicking our wingers to the ground started to become tiring to see.
  12. tomorrow i will be off to watch notts, i plan to have something to eat after some on the way home i will probably have a takeaway. maybe indian. sunday i have no plans at all so far.
  13. over 100m for a player that had one good season, suddenly bigger clubs come in for them. its beyond a joke. but there is little in the means that can be done to stop it, as i think in the 90s italian teams started signing better players because they waved taxes and lowered them. people will go where they earn more and teams will always cough up what they dont have in order to buy a player. i am not sure what can be done to stop this but its silly.
  14. its horrible news, i hope he manages to make a strong come back. i think it leaves us with a few problems but i obviously wish baj all the best. i hope tobi is someone who will speak with him and make sure hes good.
  15. i dont rate him as much as some do, he seems to be one of those players who only puts effort in to get a better pay day. i think hes shot himself in the foot not to try harder to make the ppeterborough move work but its what it is. he may suite wrexham to be fair tho.
  16. you missed ben davies @Chris
  17. i was going to say @Fan of Big Tone, its changed a lot. one day i might drive and take a look around this as it does seem like a nice place to visit.
  18. i have no idea who he is, even googling him i have zero idea.
  19. excited! i miss the poncast because it felt like a good radio show. the days when jj was involved, even when sam stepped forward to help it was very good. with more people having microphones now it should be easier to get a few people on board. so i am buzzing about that! the live discussions also sounds like a great step forward.
  20. if there is a game which notts needs to dig deep and get a good result, its this one. i would take a draw, but a win would be a lot nicer for obvious reasons. it would be annoying to lose to the two teams that prevented us from making our football league return earlier than we did, so quickly into a new season. put the hurt and disappointment aside, we know we have a good squad and provided the players work hard to create chances we can score. defensively we need to be much better though.
  21. hello, welcome to pon @zaradek.
  22. Hull City 3-1 Sheffield Wednesday joker Ipswich Town 1-2 Stoke City Leyton Orient 0-2 Portsmouth Peterborough United 1-1 Charlton Athletic Harrogate Town 0-1 Forest Green Rovers Swindon Town 1-0 Crewe Alexandra Dagenham & Redbridge 1-2 Southend United York City 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers
  23. @Piethagoram the club needs to appoint you as some sort of scout. i agree with the three players you have named as being good performers for lincoln, but i honestly dont know much about any of them. if we could sign sorensen i would be pretty happy, he looked class.
  24. i asked in the office for you @Piethagoram, i have been told to recommend the hp envy inspire 7220e and brother dcp-j1200w.. im not sure if they reach all of your specifications, but worth mentioning.
  25. just beneath mid table, i will take that for the opening round.
