We all desire for Reading to overcome its challenges. It’s not good to see any club struggle. We have been there, so we share the concerns and I wish the club all the best for pulling through this tough period. Their fans do deserve much better!

What a goal! David McGoldrick's effort was a true display of pure class. I have been impressed by just how good he still is. He doesn’t play like your typical 35-year-old. Both he and Jim O'Brien possess powerful engines within them.

Andy Dallas is a decent player, but I do think it will take him time to adjust to the standard of League One. Barnsley might be patient, but I can imagine him being sent out on loan at some stage.

I think Cal Roberts will have to settle for where his career is. It would be a great story to see him triumph and make it to the Premier League, but I think League Two will be difficult now. This doesn’t mean his career can’t be special. He can continue helping teams to find their football league status. I just can’t see him bouncing back as we have seen from this.

That’s some foreshadowing that @super_ram’s first game was at Meadow Lane, plus that he witnessed a Notts team beat his beloved Derby County. We are a little way off from that being repeated in these times, but this is a very good article. I wish to watch Notts play in the top flight and Europe one day. He doesn’t skip much of the action and has a good amount of energy to see out games. I was a little sceptical at first about the signing, but I quickly realised that he brings with him a wealth of experience. I have seen it in the pre-season games I have watched. With the talk of Tobi Adebayo-Rowling, it’s easy to forget what a good footballing brain brings to the team. With David McGoldrick’s experience, the squad has a mentor who can pass on useful encouragement. His goal was a very nice effort. I don’t think many would have saved it, and I am pleased that he’s got his first goal in Notts colours, albeit blue. ????

As the title says, what are you currently listening to, both album and single wise?

It’s a tricky subject to discuss, but let’s keep this respectful. I am surprised that FIFA hasn’t followed suit with the Olympics. When transgender athletes first started taking part, I always thought that it would be a slippery slope because, despite their transition, they still have an advantage over females. I am all for supporting people, no matter what their sex is or what a person may identify as. I don’t care if people are straight, gay, etc. Likewise with race, I don’t have an issue with it and I wish more people would be open-minded in this regard. However, I am still torn on the decision to include a transgender player in the women’s World Cup. Part of me thinks it’s great that the Canadian team has embraced their teammate, but the other half worries that this will only put the sport at a disadvantage and therefore incur the wrath we have seen in other sports for including transgender people, only to backtrack and say they can’t. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66299441

Boston played as if they had placed magnets on the Notts players; they really limited the amount of space we had, and that made the players have to pass it around quicker. I think movement can sometimes be worth gaining extra insight into, as creating it can be an art within itself.

Rest in peace, Trevor Francis. Compared to some players who go for a lot more, I think he’s proven he was worth the money. It’s such a shame to see a legend of the game go.

Well, actually, false news with the sole intention of being dubious or misleading is quite harmful. I have seen first-hand how having people believe in stories can generate a lot of negativity. These days, people are more attracted to writing a negative comment than to replying to a well-written story. They linked one of the players before, and there was talk about Sam Pearson, but that connection was dismissed. Now, they are back again, hoping that most Notts fans have forgotten about it. Jesse Debrah has his fans in our supporter base who jokingly ask the club frequently when they are going to announce his signing. Do you think it's possible for us to sign him, even though we already have two trialists playing in the same position? However, he would be a valuable addition to the team. We are not collecting players as if they were Pokémon; avoid sites that specialise in clickbait. It’s not speculation; it’s misleading information put across by people pretending to have the ‘scoop’, ‘inside news’, or ‘source’. When the only source they do have is brown.

He participates in a lot of charity football, so I remember hearing him being interviewed where he spoke about Boston United. I wasn’t completely sure, but I felt fairly certain.

Yes, I have seen him doing that work too. He recently gave an interview in which he expressed his desire to do commentary for the World Cup or the FA Cup. I am not sure if he aspires to do more TV work, but the interview did mention that this is what he would be doing now that he has left BBC Radio Nottingham.
