Hailing from Gateshead, Tommy Johnson decided to join Notts County upon leaving school and the north-east clubs' loss was the Magpies gain.

Despite his young age, his goals were instrumental in helping Notts go from the Third Division of English football to the top flight within two years.

Johnson also enjoyed stints at Derby, Aston Villa and Celtic, showcasing just how much of a superb talent he is, but despite just three years at Notts he remains well loved by the Black & White Army.
