Charlie Palmer earned a legendary status after scoring the winning goal in the last Nottingham league, derby against Nottingham Forest back in 1994.

A goal which has gone down in the magpies' folklore, as fans celebrate the goal each year with the occasion coining the phrase "Sir Charlie Palmer day".

Aside from that game, Palmer was also a loyal servant of Notts, making 182 appearances for the club between 1989 and 1994.
