I thought the fireworks were pish poor, to be honest; and hope never to repeat. Ground rules state no pyrotechnics of any sort are allowed inside any ground. If a fan brings any in they risk a fine/ban. 

I think the pyrotechnics are just banned in the stands for safety reasons @4everapie, I've seen them on the pitch on a number of occasions. Fireworks don't really work at football matches though, especially during the day. Nice that the club marked the last home game though.

I wonder if the flag on the Sirrel stand is going to be replaced in the summer? Black flags are a bit too ISIS for my taste.

The flag is looking a bit worse for wear, cant understand why it's left out in all weathers.. as for fireworks it don't stipulate stands only, inside the ground it states.

The following articles must not be brought within the Ground - knives, fireworks, smoke

canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles,

glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or

compromise public safety. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to

the Ground.

8 Further, you may not bring into the Ground any sponsorship, promotional or marketing

materials save in respect of official club merchandise and/or other football related clothing

Those rules are for spectators though. For instance, both teams always have a stack of water bottles for the players at every match, yet if you applied that regulation across the board (and not just to fans) they wouldn't be allowed in as bottles and cans are banned. Same for fireworks. There are fireworks at every FA Cup and Champions League final.

The problem is just that they look a bit rubbish in daylight 

There's been fireworks on Meadow Lane quite a few times, even Forest have done displays and many others clubs.

I think there should have been a warning, as I heard young children crying and scared - I heard someone shout 'Is it ISIS?' and not in a joking sort of way. However, most seemed to enjoy them and I thought it was pretty harmless. Just needed a warning, as I didn't expect the loud noise and the smoke did make it hard to breathe.
