Harry Kewell has admitted that he would like one or two more recruits to bolster the Notts County squad although he stresses he is "happy" with his current crop.

The Magpies did the bulk of their transfer business early in the summer with numerous high-profile players arriving at Meadow Lane.

However, the Notts back line has been woefully exposed time and time again this season, the outcome of which is no wins and a spot at the bottom of the League Two table.

With the permanent and loan windows shut, Notts can only sign free transfers at present, with Elliott Ward arriving this month.

β€œWe would like one or two more people in,” Kewell told the Nottingham Post. β€œBut I am happy with with the squad.

"Look, you can’t keep making simple mistakes.

β€œWe’ve got to be smart, but the ultimate thing is we controlled the game at Exeter and then gave a silly goal away.

β€œWe have to make teams work hard for goals.”
