Kevin Nolan has done a great job to turn Notts County around, Lincoln City manager Danny Cowley has stated.

This weekend marks a year since Nolan has taken charge of a Magpies match and, in that time, the club has gone from the bottom rungs of the League Two table to the top three.

"Kevin Nolan’s done a great job. He’s been there a year and he’s turned that club round,” Cowley, speaking ahead of Saturday's meeting between the two sides at Sincil Bank, told Lincolnshire Live.

β€œI’ve got nothing but admiration for the job he has done there.

β€œHe’s been a top player but he’s really humble as well, which is nice to see because it’s not always the case.

β€œWe watched them on Saturday and they deservedly beat a Championship team.

β€œIt’s going to be a really tough game, but it’s a great game for us and one we’re really looking forward to.”
