Opposition View: Exeter City fan expects close game with victory over Notts County

Fan Introduction

Name: Rodney Boulton

Age: 45

How long have you supported Exeter? I have supported Exeter for 27 years.

Are you a season ticket holder? Yes, I am a season ticket holder.

Favorite Player: Jayden Stockley

How do you think Exeter have done so far this season in terms of form and expectations for the season?

Considering the managerial change, from Tisdale to Taylor we’ve made a good start despite recent results.

Which player left in the summer who you think could have been needed this season?

Jordan Storey but the money was too good to turn down.

Who has been your star player this season so far?

Jonathan Forte but he’s been a big miss for the last couple of games due to him being injured.

Who is the biggest threat when going forward and why?

I would say Forte again. He’s got great pace and is good support for Stockley.

Does the style of football championed by Matt Taylor bode well with the fans?

Matt Taylor wants to promote a more attacking style of play and we do have the players to execute this new philosophy here at Exeter.

As an opposition fan, which player are you most worried about facing from Notts County?

Jon Stead will be the biggest threat in my opinion due to his height, strength and experience.

Finally, what will be your score prediction for this game along with the goal scorers?

It’ll be a close game but I'll go for a 2-1 home win for Exeter with Stockley and Forte providing he is fit to be the goal scorers.

Final comments from Sam

I am proud to announce that the Opposition View will be a returning feature that me and Chris will be taking on the responsibility.

Me and Chris would also like to thank Rodney for his time to answer a few of our questions for the members of Pride of Nottingham to read and interact with.

Finally, Sam’s score prediction is 2-2 with Stead and Hemmings being the scorers for Notts and Chris’s score prediction is 1-1 with Kristian Dennis to score for the Magpies.

Great feature thanks @samwatto2008 and of course @Chris

It’s interesting that Rodney says Jonathon Forte is their star player this season, that is one big mistake by Nolan in my opinion, why the hell did he let him go?

Fingers crossed Forte is a doubt because he's a good striker.

We could have done with him here but the budget needed adjusting I suppose, it should be a good game.
