The season is upon us and the squad is more or less complete. How confident are you all feeling? Are we going to take League One by storm or are we in for a grim struggle?

I’ve voted relegation scrap but surviving, I hope I’m wrong about relegation scrap but right about surviving.

I don’t think anyone expects us to be pushing for promotion but you never know stranger things have happened.

Can we wait until after Leicester and Luton? At the moment I'm going positive and sayingmid-table, but after those two games.....

It's a tough league and adjusting to the point we can really compete takes time.

The Mustapha signing has boosted my confidence a bit. As usual, the squad will change through the season.

I see us pulling clear of the relegation scrap to finish 18th

I can't see us scoring too many goals but we have a decent defence. I'd take 20th right now but.....we are a decent striker away from mid table so here's hoping we get one.

Agreed. And I'm pretty sure we will.

We've still got a major piece of the puzzle to fall in place, but I'll go for a place near the top end of the bottom half, occasionally looking over our shoulder at the relegation scrap but never quite slipping into it. We need more goals from midfield and I think we'll manage that, and in MP we have a manager who knows how to lift a team after a poor result.

Nobody has voted for relegation yet. The people have spoken, there's nothing to worry about.

I've seen a number of predictions and we've been pretty low in all of them and I kind of understand that. We were the last of the teams to get promoted and it's kind of easy to think we are then the weakest of the 4 that got promoted.

But In the past 10 seasons 6 of the teams that got promoted via the play-offs avoided an instant relegation. One of those in Tranmere were relegated on points per game, so that is a bit of an anomaly. Northampton, Carlisle & Crawley went straight back down.

I do think we'll be down the bottom half of the table and I think we'll be in a bit of relegation battle. I still lean towards the pessimistic side when it comes to Notts, but under the brothers we have always managed to progress.

So after 2 games, if we can keep this up, if we don't suffer yet more injuries and various other ifs I'm going for just below mid-table with 56 points.

After the famous 10 games, I think we'll have 13 points so after 40 we will have 52 and then scramble 4 more for a total of 56. Last year Wigan finished 16th with 56.

Worth nothing I know (Got Luton wrong straight away!), but here we go...

I have gone for comfortable mid table finish. If we can add a goal scorer upfront, we might do even better.

Still just me predicting play-offs. You can get 9-1 on that. EFL1 looks strong on paper but as we Notts fans know, clubs don't always perform as well in reality - cluseless, stubborn managers, demoralised clique filled squads, interfering owners. There's nothing like that holding Notts back so we could rise above quite a few teams this season. Monday morning optimism!

I think it's highly likely that mid-table is on the cards.

Relegation currently doesn't worry me, because I think our squad has the right mindset and will be able to show enough quality to stay clear. It could be different, and Notts happens to find form to contend at the top end, but the season is full of unknowns and how we handle any injury setbacks is vital. I am more confident in any other concerns.

Notts under Martin Patterson look like a manager who can get two halfs performances from the squad, and not just 30–40 minutes.
