I'd been expecting another attacking midfielder as it looks like we'll be relying on them for our goal threat this season. Hope he does well!

To be honest, I've looked at his record and it does raise a few questions. He's just cut short a loan at Wigan to join us, which is understandable as we're the greatest club in the world. OK. At the beginning of last season he joined Nuremberg II on loan in the fourth-level Regionalliga Bayern. German B teams are for players aged under 23, so are set up specifically to bring young players like him through, and the league they play in is a very poor one (National League level if that). Mustapha played just 100 minutes in half a season before his loan was cut short and he went back. He then joined West Brom where he also played very little.

None of this indicates that he's a bad player - he's a 20-year-old taking his first steps in men's football. But he does need to settle down somewhere. Let's hope he can do that with us!

Yeah it is very strange that he was supposed to be on loan at Wigan this season... It doesn't fill me with confidence that Wigan clearly didn't mind him leaving them and he's only been there a month.

The statement from Wigan is odd and doesn't provide much clarity; "after a period of adapting to his surroundings it was felt a change would be beneficial". Is Wigan really that different to London!? That makes it sound like he got sent to the moon to play football!

I don't know, I feel like this is going one of two ways, he's going to be great or he'll barely play and get sent back before January.

Let’s hope it’s the former and not the latter.

I can see why a London boy would like to be 2 hours from home and not in the wilds of Wigan, or even West Bromich for that matter. However, does look a bit of a hopeful one. Let's hope MP can polish another diamond 💎 .

Will he be on the bench Saturday 🤔

The level of depth is a good thing, as we do play quite a lot of numbers in midfield and rotation does seem to be of high importance this season. I don't know much about Hindolo Mustapha, but I am sure the recruitment consider how he would fit in and sometimes the playes who fail to feature is down to them or the fact other players are just performing much better.

Let's see how he gets on and try to support him.
